[AD/PDC] Logins with Spaces do not work
...portant I can gather that information).
User Account Information got replicated. When I disconnected the Windows
Server most Clients (Windows 7) did work -- except those with blanks in the
username. Tests (adding/removing) blanks to the names made the problem
reproducible (removed the blank from an exising account with blanks ->
login did work. Reintroduced the blank -> login did not work).
With a Linux Client kinit did work (with or without blanks in usernames).
The Samba Server is currently disconnected from the network (as it prevents
clients from login), but can be reactivated if needed....

You could probably hack something together using the exising ssh_config
"Match exec" and "Include" directives here. E.g.
Match !final exec "~/bin/download-config-ephemeral"
Match any
Include ~/.ssh/config-ephemeral

Railsy way to Export Database Schema?
Is there a nice way in rails to automatically extract an exising
database schema from an existing app and then in a new app automatically
create a database based on this schema?

dsync connection issue
I'm trying to move from my exising server to a new site. In preparation
for this I've set up the new server as per the first attachment.
I've added additional (temporary) setting to the new site as per these
instructions
https://wiki2.dovecot.org/Migration/Dsync
but when I try to do a backup with the following command f...

OpenSSH - Central repository for "Match" rules
I'm not seeing if this has been asked in the past.
Has there been discussion about implementing facilities with OpenSSH for having it pull "Match" rules from a central repository, namely LDAP or a RESTAPI service?

HostKey check for remote hosts via local ports
Another issue for which there might be some tricks that I don't know of:
I have a set of ports on my local machine forwarded (via ssh LocalForward) to machines that I can't directly reach on the localhost. However, as I connect to those machines I get HostKey warnings since it looks for the HostKey of the 'localhost' and depending on the port, it is of course different.
Is there

then compile new Samba and "make install" it in /opt/samba3011

always ( thanks Samba team nice job! )
I'll copy my pre-exising smb.conf file from old to new Samba

How to map an AD group to an existing unix group/gid
I have a unix group that owns some files on a share, and I'd like to set
up a group mapping so that an Active directory group (with an exising
mapping in winbind from earlier use) gets access to these files via a
mapping.
I've been fooling around with net groupmap add, and haven't been able to
get this set up.
The group Domain Users has an existing mapping to gid 10004, which
winbind allocated at some point in the past
I have a...

Non-classful per source capping
Hello,
I''ve been looking for a kernel implementation of simple bandwidth capping that will allow simple per (source) IP based bandwidth capping without the overheads associated with something like classful HTB. I have been unable to find anything exising that does this. In principle I''d like the code to dynamically setup a bucket/hash per source IP, monitor and cap an absolute ceiling. I have no need for sharing or guarantees of assured rates, just the simple cap per source.
Can anyone please point me to any existing implementation or poi...

NEWS.md support on CRAN
@Gavin: My aim was to point out that the ability to mix developer-facing
documentation with user-facing documentation is not a good reason to want
to support md.
I agree with Duncan that links to within a package would be useful (not
sure if NEWS.Rd supports this).
I'm not so convinced that package authors that do not even add a plain text
NEWS file will create a NEWS.md file.

dovecot.conf: default_mail_env
I just installed Dovecot on Debian and everyting seems to be working
fine except for the fact that it can't seem to find my mails when I log
in. All my mails are stored in the file ~/mail/Inbox. In the
dovecot.conf file I put:
default_mail_env = mbox:~/mail/:INBOX=/var/mail/%u and it's not working.
What is the part: mbox:~/mail/ for ?
and what is the part: INBOX=/var/mail/%u for ?
