SIP transfer/REFER to voicemail problem
I've google for hours trying to find a discussion of a similar problem as the one I'm having, so forgive me if this has come up before. If it has, please point me in the right direction! The problem occurs when a caller (A) is transferred by an intermediary party (B) to voicemail (Voicemail or VoicemailMain), either directly or by being taken to voicemail when the callee (C) doesn't

How "real time" is realtime?
How "real time" is realtime? If the extensions.conf is stored in the database, does * query it row by row or is it "cached"? Printing with CUPS
I've just been trying to get my Samba 3.0.0-2 build to work with CUPS. The rpm I downloaded from the Samba site was not compiled with CUPS library support. Which is why I am assuming that having added printing = cups in my conf file things are not working. If I use the source rpm can I force the build to include CUPS library support ? Or do I have to build from scratch? thanks Alan

multiframe in postscript
I was hoping that the following specification postscript(file="fig.ps",height=2,width=4) par(mar=c(5,5,2,2)+.1,mfrow=c(1,2),mex=.6) would yield the same scaling effect as postscript(file="fig.ps",height=2,width=6) par(mar=c(5,5,2,2)+.1,mfrow=c(1,3),mex=.6) but the fact is that the 'mfrow=c(1,2)' yields smaller plotting frame and bigger font size.

W2k joining a domain controlled by samba 3.0.2a (PDC)
...ation I tell samba that THIS is domain administrator (capable of doing the above)? (In my 'best gues', I have made user lenec a member of "domainadmins" with rid=512, but may be it has nothing to do with admin priviledges?). (II) Then, in samba logfiles (at the end of the e-mail - exerpts, the whole thing is 1MB) I can see, that samba at certain points fails to accept 'somebodies' credencials. I cannot figure out whos credencials they are, and how to change it :(. But, I also tried to add the workstation account directly at samba BEFORE I try to execute the above at the wor...

Source/cause of echo delay (on internal stuff network)
Hi All, This one has me stumped, but I've done quite a bit of debugging to hopefully isolate it down enough. Basically, I hear an echo *delay* when I do a 'echo' test (key- there's an annoying delay). Here's what I have: Asterisk 1.0.3 current as of Dec 7. x100p (although, irrelevant in this case) (2) Cisco 7940's with 7.3 firmware All communications between asterisk and

Aastra 9133i Phone and MWI
Hello - I have just purchased an Aastra 9133i SIP phone for testing with Asterisk. Its a little flakey but overall is a far superior phone to the others in the $179 range. I have an issue regarding the message waiting indicator. The phone does not seem to respond to the "NOTIFY" command from Asterisk. Searching archives seems to indicate that this was previously an issue on the 480i

kickstart and grub parameters
...when I've set up a box in the past, I've modified grub's menu.lst file to remove all the GUI components of the boot. ole locking compatibility
Would there be any conditions under which this setting (default to yes) could cause an AIX 4.3.2 machine (samba 2.0.6) to suddenly have all processes (smbd or otherwise) become blocked? I've sent 5 dumps to IBM and they're stumped and this is the only thing I can possibly find from the samba stuff that could possibly cause it. Here is the exerpt from smb.conf: ole locking
