Questions about BAT
Alright, i have been trying for a while now to do the following, i have googled up and down, searched this forum and the like.
I have a .bat file that i created to help me convert my music. The problem i have is the .bat file calls an .exe and sends it several parameters. Here is an exerpt of it:
~~~~
If ~%1 == ~ GOTO end
C:\Music\Lame_Encoder\lame.exe -b 320 -F -h %1 "%~d1%~p1%~n1 - 320.mp3"
~~~~
What this does in windows is checks to see if parameter 1 (usually a file i drag-n-dropped onto the .bat file) exists [If ~%1 == ~ GOTO end] then, if it does exist, finds l...

Printing with CUPS
I've just been trying to get my Samba 3.0.0-2 build to work with CUPS.
The rpm I downloaded from the Samba site was not compiled with CUPS library
support. Which is why I am assuming that having added printing = cups in my
conf file things are not working.
If I use the source rpm can I force the build to include CUPS library
support ?
Or do I have to build from scratch?
thanks

Cisco 2600 and ASTERISK
Hello,
Could somebody tell me if I can connect CISCO 2600 router with support of H.323 to Asterisk ?
If it is possible could somebody tell me how to do it.
I would like to document it and put on some website so everyone can see it.
Regards,

New Application: Broadcast
Hello,
I've released an Asterisk application under the terms of the GNU GPL. You
may find it here:
http://psg.com/~begg/projects/
A short exerpt from the README:
--
Broadcast is an Asterisk (http://www.asterisk.org) application which you
may use to send a generic message over TCP/IP to any number of computers
running software configured to listen for these types of messages. Being
written in C, Broadcast will be dynamically loaded onto the...

error packet at smbd/ipc.c(574) cmd=37 (SMBtrans)
NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER
(I've not copied the higher loglevel data yet to save space).
If someone can help, I'd appreciate it. I have much more detailed error
logs from
the server, and if needed can post exerpts from my smb.conf file.

multiframe in postscript
I was hoping that the following specification
postscript(file="fig.ps",height=2,width=4)
par(mar=c(5,5,2,2)+.1,mfrow=c(1,2),mex=.6)
would yield the same scaling effect as
postscript(file="fig.ps",height=2,width=6)
par(mar=c(5,5,2,2)+.1,mfrow=c(1,3),mex=.6)
but the fact is that the 'mfrow=c(1,2)' yields smaller plotting frame
and bigger font size.

Can''t get Fast CGI working.
Well, after many hours of tinkering and internet browsing I just can''t
get Fast CGI to work with Rails and Apache 1.3 on FreeBSD 5.4 Normal CGI
works fine, but as soon as I enable FastCGI in .htaccess I get the
message:

have made user lenec a member of "domainadmins" with rid=512, but may be
it has nothing to do with admin priviledges?).
(II) Then, in samba logfiles (at the end of the e-mail - exerpts, the
whole thing is 1MB) I can see, that samba at certain points fails to
accept 'somebodies' credencials. I cannot figure out whos credencials they
are, and how to change it :(.
But, I also tried to add the workstation account directly at samba BEFORE
I try to execute the above at the wo...

Source/cause of echo delay (on internal stuff network)
...f I disconnect the phone from the network, I can hear my voice in the
earpiece (obviously, no delay).
o If I check my voicemail off of the 7940 (talking directly to asterisk),
I hear no delay (just audio to the earpiece from the phone itself)
o If I do an echo test, I hear the delay. Here's the exerpt from my
extensions.conf file that does this:

Searching archives seems to indicate that this was previously an issue on the 480i telephone but that it got corrected. I have downloaded the lastest firmware (1.2.1) onto the phone but no go. Below is an exerpt of the SIP DEBUG from CLI.
I'd like feedback on whether this is an Aastra issue or an Asterisk issue. Anyone have experience with these phones? It appears that Asterisk sends the message five times. Perhaps it is awaiting a response from the phone which never comes. In any case, the MWI...

I've sent 5 dumps to IBM and they're stumped and this is the only thing I can
possibly find from the samba stuff that could possibly cause it.
Here is the exerpt from smb.conf:
ole locking compatibility (G)
This parameter allows an administrator to turn off the
byte range lock manipulation that is done within Samba
to give compatibility for OLE applications. Windows OLE
