HFSC and that ATM overhead problem (Another VOIP QoS post. Ahhhh)
G''Day I would like to be able to use my VOIP telephone over a saturated ADSL link whilst enjoying optimum audio quality and utilising all of the bandwidth I pay for. It is about this situation that I write. HFSC appears to be the queueing discipline of choice for VOIP. In order for this to work, though, do I have to account for the ATM overhead in the small VOIP packets by defining my

Error setting rowname if rowname currently NULL
Hi, My first post here and new to R so please bear with me (long time programmer though, helping a friend with some scripts). I've noticed a behaviour when using rownames() that I think is odd, wondering if I'm doing something wrong. To illustrate, say I create a very simple matrix (called fred): fred<-matrix(,4,2) It looks like this: [,1] [,2] [1,] NA NA [2,] NA NA

ActionMAiler and file_field Question
Hi Gang, I''m trying to figure a way to set an attachment to an email by allowing the user to browse for a file to send with the mail. I thought that I could use file_field to do this - but having no luck. HAs anybody got a working example of how to achieve this? Or is it the wrong way to go? TIA, Eric.

Asterisk as H323 client?
Greetings, I have a VoIP provider that uses H323. Basically they provide a proprietary win32 client for you to login with a username and password. I've ran ethereal through it and have sort of figured out how it works, but I know very little about H323. What I want to do is, to have asterisk register as a H323 client to that service and integrate it into my least-cost routing plan to use

IFB0 throughput 3-4% lower than expected
I have two boxes for the purpose of testing traffic control and my knowledge thereof (which is at the inkling stage). The boxes are connected by 100Mbit ethernet cards via a switch. For egress traffic via eth0 I achieve a throughput that is close to the specified CEILing, particularly for values above 1mbit. Ingress traffic does not seem so well behaved. Above about 1mbit rates achieved are

Re: DB Modelling the Rails way - solution by Chris Hall
Hi Chris, Yesterday you kindly submitted an answer to my question on modelling many to many relationships. I''ve briefly tried the proposed solution but so far with no luck. Before I get too involved - I''d like to know if mapping three way :join_tables is "legal" in a Rails sense. I only ask since you put (untested) in your mail and I can''t find any docs on

tcrules' SIP HELPER is not helping
Hello Asterisk sits in a Vserver guest (192.168.3.9) on the firewall. I can''t seem to get the sip helper to mark the SIP packets though. I have an ftp client on a different Vserver guest on the firewall. If I put ftp in the HELPER column of tcrules I can mark those packets. With sip in the HELPER column though nothing happens. Attached is a "shorewall dump > dump.txt"
