Symbolic Link
Hi List; To create the symbolic link, I read in the documenation that I have to type this command: # ln -s /usr/src/'uname -r' /usr/src/linux-2.4 1) What it means by 'uname -r'? 2) Why I have to create such symbolic link to do pointing for the kernel? For what exctly will be used with asterisk? 3) What is the relation between creating such symbolic link and build directory? Any advise. introducing jitter in overlapping graphs using ggplots (plotmeans). Also sciplot.
...different packages and it seems that ggplots with plotmeans was the fastest (I am not extremely skilled in writing my own scripts). Unfortunately, there is no grouping argument in plotmeans(). Therefore, I have overlaid three plots (plotting all stations witin year). However, as the graphs are exctly overlaid, it is not possible to distinguish the confidence intervals. How do I introduce jitter? Data2007, Data2008 and Data2009 are the dataframes with the data from that particular year including all the stations. I have also tried lineplot.CI from the package sciplot and also there I am no...

Kernel smoothing.
I wish to produce a weighted (Gaussian?) kernel density estimate, in 2 dimensions, where the weights are permitted to be ***negative***. (I can ASSURE you that there are perfectly legitimate reasons why I want to do this. :-)) Clearly it is not really a density that I am trying to estimate. I had a go at using sm.density() from the sm package, but this requires that the weights be positive. Is

Need Beginner Guide for Matcher Optimisations Project
Hi, While searching for a project which matches my interest andskill level, I found this project named Matcher Optimization. This project is really challenging and excting from my view point and I would like to be a part of this project. Optimization techniques metioned in the reference links provided will take some time for me to have a good understanding about them. But I am trying to get my head into it. I am a Computer Science undergraduate so I have a good...

sieve vacation alias handling problem
...but may differ if e.g. aliases are used or when dropping the +ext part. (v2.0.3+)" So the final recipient that is used by vacation was always set to the original recipient value. With the following Postfix config everything works exactly as expected. Response is generated if mail is send to +exct address and is not generated if it is send to an alias unless the alias is configured in "addresses variable. Also the sieve_vacation_use_original_recipient parameter works as expected. dovecot unix - n n - - pipe flags=OXDRhu user=vmail:vmail argv=/usr/lib/dovecot/dovecot-lda -f ${sender...

Matrix heatmap
I would like to organize my data as follows: I have a table that contains various data, and the numbers represent a level of similarity between these data, eg RF00013 has 100% similarity with the data RF00014. I would leave my table as a heatmap where darker colors represent higher similarity, and the lighter colors represent less level of similarity. I'm using version 2.11 of R. these

2.6.14 - HTB/SFQ QoS broken?
Hello, First of all, I already contacted Martin Devera, the developer of HTB, and he told me to search for help on this mailinglist, thus I am describing my problems here now... I am kind of seriously annoyed by QoS as I have been trying for over 3 years to get it working properly - first I did not understand how it works, then it seemed not to work, then it was working perfectly for half a
