Hi I am running a RH9 box in a w2k domain. I have installed winbind on the RH9 box joined it to the domain successfully. Domain users can login with their accounts. The problem is when they login they get a message stating that their home dir doesnt excists. How can i map their home dir that is on a w2k member server and how can i create their home dir on the RH9 box when the domain users login? Hi Folks , The problems with HPlip goes on and on : I can not manage to establish a connection on WiFi with the HP4620 : I can print to the printer but not scan . Running hp-check results in cups is not running, hplip is not properly (HP) installed , xsane is not installed etc.. When I want to migrate a VM, I check if there is an qcow2 image on the other host with that name. When that's not the case, I copy the image using rsync first. ...laptopcamera and the scanner is present and all goes fine . Under WLAN (hp-check) the laptopcamera is present , but the scanner not . Clear is the scanner function cannot functionate , Uncear is why can I print to the HP4620 , fax with the HP4620 and NOT scan to the HP4620 while there must excists a wireless communication ? Hi again, I just wanted to add this to make my information more complete: The id primary group id of user "eddie" in the ldap tree is 500:201. 201 is the group "Domain Users" But you have to know that user "eddie" also excists with id and gid 500:500 in the /etc/passwd and /etc/group files.
