Postgresql and shell script

mapping home dir
Hi I am running a RH9 box in a w2k domain. I have installed winbind on the RH9 box joined it to the domain successfully. Domain users can login with their accounts. The problem is when they login they get a message stating that their home dir doesnt excists. How can i map their home dir that is on a w2k member server and how can i create their home dir on the RH9 box when the domain users login?

Hi Folks , The problems with HPlip goes on and on : I can not manage to establish a connection on WiFi with the HP4620 : I can print to the printer but not scan . Running hp-check results in cups is not running, hplip is not properly (HP) installed , xsane is not installed etc.. virsh migrate --copy-storage-inc
Hello, I use libvirt on machines without shared storage. My VM's have all one qcow2-disk, with the same name as the VM. When I want to migrate a VM, I check if there is an qcow2 image on the other host with that name. When that's not the case, I copy the image using rsync first. If the image excist, I don't do that, and I think that "--copy-storage-inc" will do it. But I

Mounting Share at Boot

Hi Jon , I agree it is a little bit confusing : On USB all runs fine . So Hplip , cups , etc. is installed and functionates . On WLAN , believe it or not printing and faxing runs fine ; So the Wifi communication is present and functionating , but the scanner function is not ! mount_smbfs can't get server address

Automatic printer-driver download - slow respons from printers
Hallo! I am running samba-3.0.10-1.4E.12.2 on centos 4.4. My clients are windows xp with sp2. I am running cups-1.1.22-0.rc1.9.20.2. I have configured automatic printer-driver download. When I install the printer on a client it takes a very long time to initialize the printer. After installation if you try to klick file - print in e.g words it also takes about 1 min before the print dialouge box
