John Rosatti, Excavators, 3D, NASA and Why Should I care? Well, because! There are two definitions for excavator; one is any person engaging in excavation is called an excavator. The second definition of excavator is, of course, the vehicles called excavators, which are sometimes called diggers, trackhoes, fronthoe...

Buenos días: Por favor, ¿alguien puede indicarme si sólo hay que documentar las funciones visibles del paquete?. Además, ¿cómo se consigue que sólo algunas de las funciones estén visibles?. ¿Cómo manejo el namespaces para ello?. Gracias. Eva [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

"Does that help?" No. I am not your private consultant. You need to reply to the list, which I have cc'ed here, not just me. I am still somewhat confused by your specifications, but others may not be. Part of my confusion stems from your failure to provide a reproducible example (see e.g. the posting guide linked below). For example, I cannot tell from your text whether the Abc

Samba pdc with ldap & samba3-3.0.25c-34 on CentOS 5
Hi all, I had been running a Samba pdc using the standard tdbsam backend on CentOS 4.5 supporting 20+ WinXPsp2 workstations and a Win2k3 Terminal Server. This set up was running fine for arroung 18 months maybe more. The above system was built on ageing hardware that used to be a Win 2k server that died from OS corruption. Due to the expanding client needs there was good reason to replace

how to force llvm generate gather intrinsic
If I'm understanding correctly, you're saying that vgather* is slow on all of Excavator, Haswell, Broadwell, and Skylake (client). Therefore, we will not generate it for any of those machines. Even if that's true, we should not define "gatherIsSlow()" as "hasAVX2() && !hasAVX512()". It could break for some hypothetical future processor that manages to...

Portable OpenSSH Solaris UseLogin Issue
Greetings, In order to use solaris's BSM (Basic security module) also called c2 audit, which logs specific kernel calls depending on your audit_control, I would need to use login(1) to log users exec calls and whatnot because Portable OpenSSH does not have <bsm/audit.h> support, now that would mean I would have to enable Uselogin in sshd_config in order for that to work. I am running

Synthesize low batt (LB) fron SNMP UPS which does not support this?
Makes sense, and a PR is a way to solicit feedback :) I'd document this for ups.conf (man page and examples), including a note that for devices which do provide a healthy LB these values may be set to 0 safely. Wondering if non-zero defaults should be there anyway. @Community, WDYT? Also, this critical-state check should be done only when the UPS is on battery (and perhaps not calibrating),

[PATCH tip/x86/mm] x86_32: calculate additional memory needed by the fixmap
From: Stefano Stabellini <stefano.stabellini@eu.citrix.com> When NR_CPUS increases the fixmap might need more than the page allocated by head_32.S. This patch introduces the logic to calculate the additional memory that is going to be required by early_ioremap_page_table_range_init: - enough memory to allocate the pte pages needed to cover the fixmap virtual memory range, minus the single

how to force llvm generate gather intrinsic
It seems that http://reviews.llvm.org/D15690 only implemented gather/scatter for AVX-512, but not for AVX/AVX2. Is there any plan to enable gather for AVX/2? Thanks.
