Problems with different mail clients
I use dovecot as my imap server, and everything is ok. I used an IMAP client from Windows XP (Outlook Express) as well as Pocket PC (Windows Mobile 5) and webmail. The problem is that I recently used Windows Vista and its imap client (Windows Mail), and problems began. >From the Windows XP machine, all is ok, but from the Pocket PC a weird thing happens: When I first configure the client,

For developers and users
Hi folks... WineHQ web-site isn't exaustive about "contributing to localized versions of Wine". [quote] "If you're willing to register for work on a certain language, then please sign up with us!" [unquote] OK... How? However, I (hopefully) post my work here. I wrote a WINE-xx/dlls/shell32/shell32_xx.rc in Esperanto and I updated the italian one. Regards

Mapping all members of an AD group to a single unix username?
Hello all I've tried various permutations in the smbusers file ( referenced by username map ), to get all members of a Windows AD group to be able to authenticate to a Samba Share, mainly along the lines of DOMAIN\GroupName, but I can't figure out a way to get this to work. What I need is for any member of the DOMAIN\SambaGroup to authenticate to the Samba server as the unix user

Limit packets per second
Hi all, Is there a way to create a class that limits the amount of packets of any rule in a period ( like pps ) ? Some aplications like game servers, send so much little udp packets to the clients that the router cpu gets exausted, even with relative low bandwidith usage. Any idea ? When I first configure the client, in the Received Items, it shows all = items correctly, but then, when starting to donwload, they simply = disappear. All other folders are OK. Problem is just in inbox. I thing (although my tests were not exaustive) that deleting the .imap = folder solves the problem, but I just can't understand why, because it = is recreated again... Any help? Thank you,

Infinite loop running Mod_R/Rapache
I installed mod_r according to the specifications, and have been trying to get the demo script to work correctly. I am running debian, the latest build of R, apache 2 with prefork mpm, and the latest mod_r. Is anyone else using this module successfully? I added: LoadModule R_module mod_R.so <Location /test/hello> SetHandler r-handler Rsource /var/www/html/test.R RreqHandler

Re: Programmatically force shutdown a guest: possible?
Yes, you are right. Listen, as the documentation is not very exaustive, can you explain briefly to me how a guest agent works? After installing it via the apt-get on the hypervisor (I am using ubuntu as host system) how can I create a script which would do this? That is waiting for an acpi signal and actually shut down the guest. And what other operation can you actually do with a guest agent? I

RTCP + Stasis causing high memory consumption
Hello Asterisk list, I've facing a memory allocation issue that happens occasionally but on a consistent basis. The problem happens as follow, suddenly Asterisk starts consuming a lot of memory, in a rate of more than 1GB per hour. Kernel will eventually kill it via the OOM killer when memory is really exausted... This situation does not generate backtrace because Asterisk is responsive

samba printing on NetBSD 1.4.1
Hi Folks, I recently set up a samba server 2.0.5a on a NetBSD 1.4.1 box. I have (I think) a very simple setup: one share and one printer. The share configured below (tmp) works fine. I can see the printer in the win95 Network Neighborhood, but when I try to print a test page, I get "windows cannot find the printer" on the Win95 side, and nothing on the samba side. With the smb.conf

Samba, quotas and disk capacity?
Hi Bernd, There have been a lot of improvements in Samba since 2.0.5; I know that the 2.0.7 version is supposed to support unix HFS and VxFS quotas. Also the "with-quotas" option must be turned on at compile time, so perhaps your 2.0.5 version was not compiled "with-quotas"... I tested quotas and the HP 2.0.7 version here and it works the way that Dirk mentions, you will get

Programmatically force shutdown a guest: possible?
I am looking at the shutdown method, but if the guest system is a desktop system, like for example ubuntu, it just has the effect to show a box prompting the user for a shutdown/reboot/ and such. I could enter the guest and change this default behaviour and it actually works..but I'd like for a way to send a shutdown command without doing so. Is it possible?
