"trace" argument in legend() (PR#2578)

Should be an easy fix...
Consider the examble below:
plot(0,0)
legend(0,0,c("Hello!","Hi!"),pch=1:2,lty=1:2,trace=T)
It gives the following trace:

Samba or NFS for a new domain member server
...command above>
For, example:
wbinfo -G 10012 returns S-1-5-21-...-3003
S-1-5-21-...-3003 returns PP+fl_staff 2
However, when I tried to set up one of the directories that I want to move from the existing PDC to the member server, I could not assign the appropriate group to the directory.
For examble, on the member server:
chgrp PP+fl_staff pub
chgrp "PP+fl_staff" pub
chgrp "PP+fl_staff 2" pub
all return an error:
chgrp: invalid group name `PP+fl_staff'
Now, if I change the group ownership to the appropriate GID (in this case, 10012), the chgrp command works and my...

Member server - group and user mapping with winbind
Hi all
I am still unsure of the correct way to configure member servers.
I have one PDC (Samba 3.026a on Solaris 9) and several member servers
(including Samba 3.026a on Solaris 9 and 10, and Samba 3.024 on Fedora
core 6.) Each machine uses NIS for unix accounts.
The "Samba by Examble" Book indicates that even if I am using NIS for
user accounts, and not using LDAP for a idmap backend, I still need to
use winbindd to map SID's. It isn't clear to me if I do need to
update nsswitch.conf to use winbindd. I don't think I want to update
nsswitch.conf to use winb...

smbclient: preoblems with samba 4.3.x
Hallo,
"smbclient" doesn't work with the slackware packages samba-4.3.1 and
4.3.2, it has worked with 4.2.1 and older versions.
smbclient
answers with "segmentation fault", on two testing machines (where 4.2.1
has worked well).
The slackware packets are compiled with
./configure \
--enable-fhs \
--prefix=/usr \
--libdir=/usr/lib${LIBDIRSUFFIX} \

Member server - group and user mapping with winbind
...ave already connected to a share, and then start winbindd, the file
permissions will show the domain component, and I can set permissions.
However, if I start winbindd before I connect to the share, I just get
prompted for a user name and password- and I am unable to connect.
The "Samba by Examble" Book indicates that even if I am using NIS for user
accounts, and not using LDAP for a idmap backend, I still need to use
winbindd to map SID's. It isn't clear to me if I do need to update
nsswitch.conf to use winbindd. (It doesn't seem to matter either way.)
So my smb.conf i...

Maximum samba file transfer speed on gigabit...
Ok so maybe someone can explain this to me. I've been banging my head
against the wall on this one for several weeks now and the powers that be
are starting to get a little impatient. What we've got is an old FoxPro
application, the FoxPro .dbf's being stored on a Linux fileserver using
Samba (Fedora 3 currently, using Fedora 5 on the new test server). We're
having speed
