Password Asking in XP
I'm using samba 3.0.1 as a file server, with no domain. All my users are exacly the same (even case preserving) as windows logon users. So I think that when they try to access a share the windows should first try to send the loged user and pwd, right? For some reason it is working in some machines and in some is not. When the user tries to access the share it is asked for...

I suggest, start fresh, and follow above config. EXACLY, why because i know that works. Then when thats done, test it, and only then, your ready to add new domains. After you added one domain, then you can make changes so you can setup views for bind. Do note above is make on a Debian 4.2/4.5 but still applies to current setups. Greetz, Louis

Dos filemode and group rights to change permissions (even when group has read only permissions)
...I noticed the following line: "Note that a user belonging to the group owning the file will not be allowed to change permissions if the group is only granted read access" Is there anyway to achive this so the group can change permissions even when the group has read-only rights? This is exacly what a customer of us would want to have as a possibility. Don't ask me why, has something to do with the way they hanlde some files. Sander

where are going my packets?
...that is not actually true Q3) how I can do a traceroute-like command to see the passed through nodes? I tried the USR2 signal but the output is not useful, subnets section say only the owner of it and not the path. I read in the mailing list someone said that is equal to the routing table, but not exacly, the routing table say also the next hop, in the tinc output there is only the "target" and not the next hop node. My asterisk has only SIP accounts + 2 SIP trunk accounts to our branch office. Questions: 1. To enable jitter buffer on SIP channels it seems I have to enable and force it, right? 2. If I enable and force jitter buffer, Asterisk would always have to stay
