migrating Samba PDC to a new server
...plan to install Samba 3.0.28a-1ubuntu4.4 on the new server
and
then copy the files in /etc/samba and /var/lib/samba and copy the related
Linux
users in /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow. Will it work?
Thanks in advance!

does it make sense to run rsync over ftp (curlftpfs)?
Hi,
It seems to work but very slowly. I guess it's because rsync has to read the
complete file content
on the remote host, so does it make any sense at all to do it over FTP?

Is anyone aware of a model fitting procedure that incorporates the
correlation structures of the lme models in a breakpoint model?

gamm() and predict()
Dear All,
I have a query relating to the use of the ?predict? and ?gamm? functions. I am dealing with large (approx. 5000) sets of presence/absence data, which I am trying to model as a function of different of environmental covariates. Ideally my models should include individual and colony as random factors. I have been trying to fit binomial models using the gamm function to achieve this. For
