beginners question concerning security
Hi List,
as I''m a real beginner I would be pleased if someone can answer a maybe simple question.
I''m looking for a virtaul server system to be used by diffrent entities. As I heard from other solutions there are often (at least small) security problems.
Now I would like to know if it''s (at least theoretical possible) that one user from domU_a can access domU_b or

Oracle, java and other heavy stuff....
Hi Team,
as I''m new to XEN my questions might be stupid - but I hope the answers wont
be :-)
I like for testing purposes to run Oracle and a jboss server on an XEN / Debian
in dom0.
The Oracle data shall be stored on a cluster of other XEN domains.
I would also like to have Oracle clients and other jboss server running in XEN
domains.
As far as I noticed this shouldn''t

again (sorry) networking between dom0 - domU priv.
Hi list,
following my last mail I added a small jpg to clarify my request...
How do I have to configure my dumm0 to enable communication between my firewall domU and my dom0. As mentioned I can ping/ssh from outside to domU (FW), I can ping ssh from there to domU(2.1) and domU(2.2). But I can''t get through to dom0.
As most of the basic understanding is missing on my side even a

debian etch problems with networking and pciback.hide
Hi List,
please excuse that this post is again about networking with XEN.
Even though I googled and checked other posts for some days now I did not
manage to get my installation working.
Following some advises I used the late binding of pci.
So I created a /etc/modprobe.de/local and added:
options pciback hide=(03:00.0)(04:00.0)
install e1000 /sbin/modprobe pciback ;
/sbin/modprobe
