kerberos issue (SPN not found) with windows Hyper-V ( samba 4.5.3 AD)
After reviewing logs I found that my previous assumption was wrong.
Situation: - i'm trying to start live migration from hyper-v host A
(BMSRV4-HYPERV) to hyper-v host B (BM-SRV-5) from host B (logged in as
user from DOMAIN ADMINS group).
Kerberos constrained delegation is set in accordnance to microsoft
instructions with proper SPN's set (well, proper as in with the

kerberos issue (SPN not found) with windows Hyper-V ( samba 4.5.3 AD)
I made some progress with the issue, but didn't solve it completely
It's basically a kind of bug (i'm not sure if it's on kerberos side or
samba, I think samba is the culprit here (?).
Microsoft uses kind of weird SPN for Hyper-V. Weird as there are
"spaces" in the string - which is kind of unique as far as SPN's go,
usually SPN form a complete string.
So I kind

kerberos issue (SPN not found) with windows Hyper-V ( samba 4.5.3 AD)
Hello,
This won't be a very helpful reply, but I can confirm I've had the exact same issue. I ran into this a few years ago and could not get HyperV migrations to work with a Samba DC. I even went so far as to install a Windows DC just to prove to myself that it is supposed to work, and it does, perfectly (with ADDC it even creates all the SPNs for you auto-magically).

Windows 2012 s4u2self followed by s4u2proxy fails against samba
Hi,
I hit the issue described in this thread
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/linux.samba/VfjW9Af92Wg while
testing out s4u2self and s4u2proxy in a windows service, so I wanted
to share my setup.
So I wrote a small windows service that's running as a local system
account to impersonate an user via s4u2self (using LsaLogonUser in
win32 api than calling ImpersonateLoggedOnUser) and then

What is the best way to loop over an ALTREP vector?
Sorry for post a lot of things, for the first part of code, I copied my C++
iter macro by mistake(and you can see an explicit type casting). Here is
the macro definition from R_exts/Itermacros.h
#define ITERATE_BY_REGION_PARTIAL(sx, px, idx, nb, etype, vtype, \
strt, nfull, expr) do { \
* const** etype *px = DATAPTR_OR_NULL(sx); *

Unexpected behavior when using macro to loop over vector
Hi all,
I found an unexpected behavior when I was trying to use the macro defined
in "R_ext/Itermacros.h" to loop over an atomic vector. Here is a minimum
example:
C++ code
```
#include "R_ext/Itermacros.h"
#define GET_REGION_BUFSIZE 2
//Redefine the macro since C++ is not happy with the implicit type
conversion
#define ITERATE_BY_REGION_PARTIAL(sx, px, idx, nb, etype,
Hi Bob,
Thanks for sending around the link to that. It looks mostly right and looks
like a useful onramp. There are a few things to watch out for though (I've
cc'ed Romain so he's aware of these comments). @romain I hope you taake the
following comments as they are intended, as help rather than attacks.
The largest issue I see is that the contract for Get_region is that it
Not sure if you're using just C++ or Rcpp for C++ access but https://purrple.cat/blog/2018/10/14/altrep-and-cpp/ has some tips on using C++ w/ALTREP.
Why is smbd looking for Kerberos principal cifs/host@DOMB when it is a member of DOMA?
Hi all. I?m trying to understand a weird authentication failure:
I have two domains (TC83.LOCAL and TC84.LOCAL), each in a diferent forest,
with a bidirectional forest trust.
The samba server kvm7246-vm022.maas.local is a domain member of TC83 and is
running a recent build from git master (f38077ea5ee).
When I test authentication of users in each domain by running ntlm_auth on
the samba server,
What is the best way to loop over an ALTREP vector?
Hi devel team,
I'm working on C/C++ level ALTREP compatibility for a package. The package
previously used pointers to access the data of a SEXP, so it would not work
for some ALTREP objects which do not have a pointer. I plan to rewrite the
code and use functions like get_elt, get_region, and get_subset to access
the values of a vector, so I have a few questions for ALTREP:
1. Since an
