gcc4 compiler warnings
Hi all!
The following files emits warnings when compiled with gcc 4.0:
al175.c
bcmxcp_ser.c
belkinunv.c
cyberpower.c
everups.c
powercom.c
solis.c
All warnings seem to be of this variety:
everups.c:38: warning: pointer targets in passing argument 2 of 'ser_get_char' differ in signedness
I suggest that those who fiddles with those drivers fixes the warnings
and verifies that it works

guest runs into watch dog reset
...39;m passing the guest a
single vcpu and many network interfaces. On the guest side all the
interfaces are initially in the down state. I've notice then when I
manually bring a specific one of these interfaces up (eg the 64th
interface), the guest system hangs. Doing an "strace ifconfig etX up", it
looks like the system hangs when doing the ioctl to bring the interface up.
This guest is 18.04. Host is 16.04.
Are there any qemu/virt commands i can run from the host which would
provide me a better understanding as to why the guest gets into this hung
state?
If I pass two vcpu,...

Clustered vectors
...e same order as the
clusters are produced. How can I do that
After runining algorithms you get information which vectors are clustered.
for example, after running pam you can see vector 3,6,9 ..., 8 are forms
cluster 1 and rest of the data forms cluster 2.
Now instead of just getting index 3,4,...9 etx how can I actually get this
data in the same order as below
Silhouette plot information:

6 1 2 0.8828709

multiple value with the same number?
I am working on a system for indexing email, and it would be nice to be
able to store multiple values for the same value_no - for instance, if
an email has multiple attachments, I might want to attach a value for
each attachment, but a value with the same number.
One option would be store the three values as one, e.g. comma-separated,
but I was just wondering how others have dealt with such a

question on minimal install using CF as /dev/sda
Hi all,
We're attempting to use CentOS 5.1 on a test platform which uses a CF
card as it's primary storage. (MB: ETX-LX)
The BIOS supports booting from CD and/or the CF.
Issues we've run into are:
During installation of CentOS 5.1, it appears all goes well through
partitioning, package selection, interface configuration. Once the
install starts in earnest, errors pop up...a snippet is:

slightly OT: opinions on best webservice implementation
...ervice will be lightweight and fast, but we also need
to balance that with ease of use. Most communications between
gateways like ourselves and bank networks uses a simple line format
with high ascii field separators. A message starts with STX, fields
separated by FS/GS and the message ends with ETX/EOT and a checksum.
Very simple, fairly compact, and doesnt'' take much processing power to
parse. Transactions are also fairly fast due to the low overhead.
Now compare that with something like soap, which uses ungodly amounts
of cpu, sends a lot more data over the wire, and is slower by...

Installing 3.2.1 on Debian Etch
Hi,
I have been testing XenServer 4.1 and I have migrated to Xen 3.2.1 due
to the lack of PCI passthrough in Citrix XenServer.
I''ve spent 6 hours this evening installing backports packages and/or
compiling the source in a fresh Debian Etch install. But still my DomU
is crashing. I suspect I have too many versions floating around now so
I will try again from scratch. What is the simplest
