Hi All,
?
I have a Solaris 10 server (Sun Fire T5520) that has recently been patched with
Samba 3.0.37 but is not able to share any drives to Windows clients. Instead,
the /var/samba/log/log.smbd is showing the following errros:

how to us a var in define as $namevar
......, ''vo_nameN'' ] }
or even:
software_mount { [''vo_name1'' , ''vo_name2'', ..., ''vo_nameN'' ] : vo_name => $namevar }
I''ve been playing with $namevar inside the define, but all my tries fail
(I have a collection of errros and has no sense to post all of them).
Anyone could give a hand on this?
TIA,
Arnau

nfs shared and ferret segfault
Hi,
I use ferret 0.10.4 whith shared index over NFS directory.
There are 2 applications servers. The web server is Mongrel 0.3.13.3
and mongrel_cluster 0.2.0. There are 20 Mongrel processes on each
server.
Each time my application update a model, Mongrel process
stops running with this errro in its log:
/usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/ferret-0.10.4/lib/ferret/index.rb:663:
[BUG] Segmentation fault
Theses servers are serving a lot of requests. Is it good to have
shared NFS index ? Is there a lock problem ?
This is very urgent. 10000 thanks for any help.
Regards
Seb

asterisk and cisco 2800
Hi all,
I need to connect my Asterisk 1.4.26 with a Sangoma PRI card (configures
with signalling=pri_net)) to a Cisco 2800 PBX. After connecting the
cables everything seems fine (ifconfig w2g1 is ok, wanpipemonitor gives
no errros, the span is up and active, green light on the card) but when
I make a test with my iax phone, there's no way to dial the PBX and I
get this WARNING:

Samba client issues
Hello everyone,
I am a newbie to samba. I am trying to mount a Windows 2000 share directory on my linux box using smbmount. I am able to do so successfully. But I do see some errors pop up when I run the command. My mount seems to be stable and it is mounted as rw.

Yeah the drm_crtc_helper.h header is a bit the miniature drmP.h for legacy
kms drivers. Just removing it from all the atomic drivers caused lots of
fallout, I expect even more if you entirely remove the includes it has.

This on the other hand is fine - as expected as this is a new file.
But the above is just some random comments so:

Error on Samba 3.2.6 installation
When I installed Samba 3.2.6 from Sernet, I got the following error:
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.54116: line 2: fg: no job control
error: %postun(samba3-3.0.32-36.i386) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
The error happens when installing the samba and winbind RPMs.
I got the same error when installing the previous version 3.2.5 and
perhaps 3.2.4. The "rpm-tmp.number" was different in those cases,

W2K Sp2 in NT4 domain and roaming profiles on samba 2.2.3a
...lo samba-insiders,
we have a WinNT 4.0 SP5 PDC and our samba 2.2.3a is member of the domain.
The roaming profiles of our clients stored on the samba 2.2.3a server.
All seams to be perfect but only clients with W2K SP2 cannot use there
roaming profiles.
---> "Access Denyed" is the W2K errro message.
But if the same user loggs on on a client machine with W2K SP1 all things
are ok.
In the log.smb file I found the following error message:
