File browser doesn't remember last directory over Dfs
Hi,
I have encountered some strange behaviour after upgrading to
3.0.12 on FreeBSD 4.10 file servers.
Normally when users on windows apps use the file browser to select
a file it remembers the selected directory between invocations, so
that, for example, they can easily read in multiple files from
the same directory, or if they click on Save As... it takes
them to the directory where they

C cedilla problem

Note the c cedilla on "Produ?ao".
The problem is when I try to cd to that directory samba tells me:
"cd \Groups\Produ?ao\: ERRDOS - ERRbadpath (Directory invalid.)"
However I can sucessfuly change into the top directory "Armazem
Revistas" which also contains an accented character.
Even worse, when using smbtar to backup that share on the Linux box,
smbtar would also not change into the c cedilla directory ("Produ?ao...

and

--BUT with smbclient:
#smbclient <service> -U <user> -s <conf>

What's wrong, is it a bug???

Unable to authenticate against an OS/2 PDC

First I try to join the domain by running the command:
# net join -U user%pass -S pdc -w wgname -d1

Character set and client code page in samba 2.0.6.

command:
./smbclient //PCNAME/share -c "cd ISO8859-2_dirname;dir"
Where ISO8859-2_dirname is the equivalent of CP852 dirname
existing on a PC. We will get such an error:

This is options of samba in related of my problem (i think):
> client code page = 850
> code page directory = /etc/codepages (i verify this path of course)
> character set = ISO8859-1
and the other option with the default value.
the error message is:
... ERRDOS - ERRbadpath (Directory invalid.)
ERRDOS - ERRbadfile (File not found.) opening remote file...
And smbclient have no problem with directories/files "without accent".
Moreover with samba-client-2.0.7 (with same configuration), it work!!!!
I read FAQ and others docs, have i forgotten anything???
