Zimbra benchmarking
Now that I have a working kvm setup, I thought I'd finally try how Zimbra works. This is mainly some microbenchmarking, so it may not have much to do with actual performance in real life. Setup: - 1GB memory given to kvm (from host's 2GB) - Intel Core 2 6600 (kvm uses only one CPU) - CentOS 5 - 15GB qcow2 image on XFS filesystem - Zimbra 5.0 RC2 RHEL5 x86_64 - Dovecot latest hg, dbox format Both Zimbra and Dovecot were tested running on the same kvm im...

Help with Bartlett's test on linear model
Hi all, I would like to test the homoegeneity of variances between several linear model for some analysis of covariance. It seems that the Bartlett's test is a good test to use but I am having problem using with linear model and I cannot find any examples on the internet. There are some examples for comparisons of variances but not linear models. If I take the hellung data set, which is

Optimizing Samba
Hello All, I have put together a Samba PDC for a mixed Bag of Windows Client workstations. We have a few Windwos 9x, some Win NT 4.0 and a handful of Windows 2000 workstations. The server is operating fine as a PDC for all workstations, all the permissions are properly set and things are running mostly smoothly. There are a few things that are somewhat slow moving on the network.

NVPTX - Reordering load instructions
Hi all, I'm looking into the performance difference of a benchmark compiled with NVCC vs NVPTX (coming from Julia, not CUDA C) and I'm seeing a significant difference due to PTX instruction ordering. The relevant source code consists of two nested loops that get fully unrolled, doing some basic arithmetic with values loaded from s...

iSCSI and LVM
Hi Everyone, I am going to get a storage server which will be connected to my Xen hosts via iSCSI/Ethernet. I wish to use LVM for the DomU disks. The storage server will have a RAID10 array, and 2 Xen hosts will connect to this (Each will have a 50% share of the RAID10 array, space wise). What is the best way to go about this? Should I: a) Split the RAID10 array into 2 partition on the
