GPO issues - getting SYSVOL cleaned up again
new thread, old issue
been fiddling off-list with tips from Louis over the last days, and
putting it back to the list to ask for help from others:
2 samba-4.9.11 DCs
1 samba-4.8.12 DM file server
GPOs not working cleanly anymore
tried to resync completely etc etc

right now I test gpupdate/gpresult on an older (not productive) W2008R2
server which I use for editing stuff via RSAT/MMC

Samba 4.6.x as secondary DC to Windows 2008 R2
...DB cluster. But I would feel terrible if I procured two hardware servers only to find the same reliability issues with the CTDB cluster as well.

Samba 4.5.2, 4.5.3, 4.5.4 as secondary DC to Windows 2008 R2
...not usable, unfortunately.
Can someone please point me to a direction other than giving this up (at least for the next few versions of Samba)?

Problems with Samba 3 and XP Roaming Profiles

profiles are still not written to the server. All I get on the XP side are
many warnings from COM+ that I do not understand. They may not be of much
use, since they are in German, but I include some anyway:

memory issues
Hi all,
I've read the R for windows FAQ and am a little confused re:
memory.limit and memory.size
to start using R 2.6.2 on WinXP, 2GB RAM, I have the command line "sdi
--max-mem-size=2047M"
Once the Rgui is open, memory.limit() returns 2047, memory.size()
returns 11.315, and memory.size(max=T) returns 19.615
Shouldn't memory.size(max=T) return 2047?
