zfs eradication
Hi, I was discussing the common practice of disk eradication used by many firms for security. I was thinking this may be a useful feature of ZFS to have an option to eradicate data as its removed, meaning after the last reference/snapshot is done and a block is freed, then write the eradication patterns back to the removed blocks. By any chance, has...

GUI/X11 login and shells other than bash?
...rt this shell vs that shell flame war (especially that I myself prefer not tcsh but sh and/or bash for scripting...). But I respect my user's freedom of choosing default shell, so this is really big issue IMHO. I just wonder: does RedHat (CentOS's upstream vendor) dislike and is willing to eradicate all shells except for bash, or what I see is just my own pilot's error? ...veadm force-resync on the folder containing the messages, but it seems Dovecot is still unhappy. At least on the new version (2.2.26.0) it doesn?t crash; 2.2.25 would panic and coredump when it discovered messages had been deleted. I?m wondering if there?s a better way to scan recent messages and eradicate them so the Dovecot isn?t upset when it happens. Maybe using doveadm search? Looking for suggestions. --- Brad

[PATCH 01/79] fs: add ctime accessors infrastructure
struct timespec64 has unused bits in the tv_nsec field that can be used for other purposes. In future patches, we're going to change how the inode->i_ctime is accessed in certain inodes in order to make use of them. In order to do that safely though, we'll need to eradicate raw accesses of the inode->i_ctime field from the kernel. Add new accessor functions for the ctime that we can use to replace them. [Feature Request] delete defined line in known_hosts file
Hi, for a test lab, I'm trying to write a small shell script that will eradicate all information regarding a special host from the known_hosts file. Unfortunately, it is quite non-trivial to find out what ssh doesn't like with a host. ssh says which line in known_hosts has the offending key, but ssh-keygen -R doesn't take a line number. Am I using an undocumented...

...asterisk to come back to normal..... I wanted to know did any one faced such a problem? Is there any way of getting to know if the channel gets stuck (since in our senario we came to know since the person at the extension(channel) that got stuck was not able to receive calls) or is there a way to eradicate the channel getting stuck? Thank you very much. Regards Sandesh -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Optimise Samba for MYOB
First a short background of the situation, My work ran a MYOB file from a MS 2000 server. They were getting problems such as the, "cannot send messages to so-and-so. blah blah blah..." They were planning to upgrade to MS 2003 in an attempt to eradicate all error messages and remove the lag sometimes experienced when opening a large list. Since i am a linux fan i suggested giving samba 3.0.11 a try, i was convinced it would be an improvement. After all Linux is the best right. After installing samba 3.0.11 on fedora core 3 and getting e...
