Live stream equalizer
Question 2:
I've been asked to stream a live event (no music, just talking). the
problem is that the audio source is not perfect, having a lot of bass
preponderance. Now I have to adjust this audio source or I won't be
able to keep the compression standard (16 Kbps).
I'm searching for an mp3 streamer with equalizing capabilities that
runs under windows.
At the moment I'm

Official GUI Speex player
One thing that is keeping Speex from being adopted is a lack of GUI
players. I think that Speex could benefit from an offial cross-platform
GUI player. The goal of the player should be to be stable, to the
point(no fluff like visualisations, playlists, an equaliser, etc.), self
contained(no external .DLLs, etc), and to be small(500k or less) so that
people with modems don't have to wait long for it to download. I made a
mockup using Visual Basic and MS-Paint(attached PNG). It is missing a
few things like preferences, volume control, and an exit but...

architectures and all were different. So they fleshed out a plugin API
and the rest, as they say, is history.
Right now, only things like compressors, expanders and limiters would
probably be useful to insert into a stream, but if someone wrote an
equaliser or a gate or something, that could well be useful too.

testing techniques for checking the effectiveness of changes made to sch_gred.c
Hi,
I have made some changes to the file sch_gred.c to modify the GRED
queueing discipline to support the following features:
1) The first virtual queue should get absolute priority while
dequeueing (not caring if the others get starved)
2) While in equalise mode and with RIO mode enabled, the packets in
the first virtual queue should not be counted for calculating the
qave.
I want to confirm if the changes made by me are really effective. I
would be grateful if someone could let me know about any testing
techniques that can be followed for confirming...

Suggestion for libvorbisfile: scaling
I've been experimenting with the ideas of Replay Gain[1] and find that
ogg123 doesn't have a way of specifying the scaling applied to
replayed samples (like -f in mpg123).
Looking at libvorbisfile, I see no function exactly matching this
possibly desirable behaviour.
ov_read() scales by either 128 (byte output) or 32768 (word output),
but there's nothing in between.

Before proceeding any further, I however wish to sort the errors out;
I've got my part of the scary moments already, when I envisioned
starting over by ditching DC A and restoring DC B from a backup.
So, to my question. What is the best option:
a) To try to manually equalise the attributes (with ADSI Edit or some
other LDAP tool) of the CN=75a3f420-60ef-4728-8608-3ead61de4555,CN=Part

Thank you for the detailed explanation! I wasn't aware of the current
state of RVV in that regard.
This seems to imply that enforcing MVL changes only per function level
is now moot (as in...

Applying dynamic compression to live audio
Hi:
I want to stream audio from my soundcard, but I'd like to apply some
dynamic compression to it first (ala winamp's audiostocker plus shoutmuxer
thingy). I heard rumours of compression in liveice, but Iv'e been told
that this only works when it plays from prerecorded MP3, not the live
input. I'd like to do this with darkice, but can't see how it could be
done. I guess

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: use drm debug levels
- Use driver level (0x2) for NV_DEBUG instead of all levels
- Create a NV_DEBUG_KMS for KMS level (04) and use them in modesetting code
- Remove a few odd NV_TRACE calls and replace with NV_DEBUG_KMS
