[LLVMdev] [lldb-dev] How is variable info retrieved in debugging for executables generated by llvm backend?
All of this information is contained in the DWARF debug info that you must generate. Are you generating DWARF? If not, you will need to. If so, please attach an example program that contains DWARF and specify which function you are having trouble getting variable information for. [LLVMdev] How is variable info retrieved in debugging for executables generated by llvm backend?
Hi, all I ported llvm backend and lldb recently. Both tools can basically work. lldb is able to debug programs in asm style and frame unwinding is OK. But "frame variable XX" does not work because lldb is not able to determine the address of XX from debug info. Can someone give any clue? Thanks in advance. -- 杨勇勇 (Yang Yong-Yong) -------------- next part -------------- An HTML

Hardware ASan Generating Unknown Instruction
Hi, I am trying to execute a simple hello world program compiled like so: path/to/compiled/clang -o test --target=aarch64-linux-gnu -march=armv8.5-a -fsanitize=hwaddress --sysroot=/usr/aarch64-linux-gnu/ -L/usr/lib/gcc/aarch64-linux-gnu/10.1.0/ -g test.c However, when I look at the disassembly, there is an unknown instruction listed at 0x2d51c: 000000000002d4c0 main: 2d4c0: ff c3 00 d1

Adding/Removing Headers with Sendmail
Hi, I posted this query a few weeks ago but never received a response. I'm guessing that I didn't put things right, so here is another go. The company that I work for currently has email addresses in the format of:- firstname.surname.ext at example.com Which we use for various marketing campaigns (therefore the .ext bit is variable). Currently we have this setup as distribution

dtrace causing sigtrap?
Just to let people know what my big picture is, I''m trying to write a script that will let me run a program, and name a progeny of that program that I want to debug. My script should find the first occurrence of that progeny, and run it until it finishes initializing the runtime linker, but stop it before it runs any shared library startup routines. (Failing that, I''d be okay

[LLVMdev] Making LLVM safer in out-of-memory situations
Hi Philip, Thanks for the positive response from all of you! > One question: How are you handling EOM? Error return? Custom region allocator? When running into an Out-of-memory situation we're currently only doing an error return, i.e. the compilation fails, but does so without crashing the process in which the compilation/jitting occurs. It is ok for us if llvm returns with a catchable exce...

This type of work was on my long term todo list; I'm thrilled to see someone else doing it now. :) One question: How are you handling EOM? Error return? Custom region allocator? Philip

no output from perl script
Here is the first Perl script I've tried to write to run rsync. It seems to work, but I don't see the progress like I should. I apologize if it's sloppy, I should add that it's not only the first perl script I've written for rsync, it's the first perl script I've written at all. ___________________________ #!/usr/bin/perl -w print " This command will DELETE
