Network Settings in Wine
...d this would not work unless used as root. Even
when i open Notepad or any other Windows App in Wine,
i can't save or open a file which is on the network,
simply because i can't see the Network. I do not want
to use smbmount to access my windows folders, i just
want to be able to access the entwork like in windows
or linux through wine, can you please help me/telle me
how to configure this ?

...rnel, as best I can explain it. on the bridge is also
a wired device and a bunch of other PCs. the wired PCs can all map
using lld2d just fine.
lld2d is a windows vista inspired device discovery sort of thing. it
makes pretty icons with useful information show up for all the devices
on your entwork (laptops, routers, etc.). windows says it''s a layer 2
protocol, and I''m not clear on what exactly that means in the context of
hostapd, linux bridges, and shorewall, or what may be blocking lld2d for
wireless clients, so I''m cross-posting this message. I hope one lis...

Using the Xen GPLPV drivers
There seems to be an outdated page to use PV drivers here:

I''d be great if that could be updated.
After installing the PV drivers in windows I didn''t notice any difference in
performance at all. Windows says the drivers are working.
Some more searching and reading and it appears that I do actually need to

Softphone that supports central provisioning?
Has anyone found a softphone that supports pulling it's configuration from a
central server via TFTP/FTP/HTTP, much like hard desk phones use?
I'm looking for something for a call center that I can provision from a
central location by generating config files. If the phone has "soft keys"
(yes, I know they're all soft - but you know what I mean; programmable
buttons whose
