How to create seperate .rpm's for RedHat
...do I recreate the individual .rpm's that RedHat seems to like? I can
compile samba using the ../packages/RedHat/makerpms.sh script but that
only generates a single .rpm file. I have to "force" install it since I
can not remove the multiple RedHat generated .rpms since they are so
entwined with other dependancies. Each time a new version of samba is
released, I'd like to be able to generate the same .rpm's and then run
"rpm -Uvh ...." to update everything.

[ANNOUNCE] xorgproto 2019.2
This release moves more header files to the legacy set. Note that this
means libX11 older than 1.6.9 and libXvMC older than 1.0.12 will not
build without some legacy headers installed.

Making Linux and domain users the same
I have a set of Linux boxes with (nearly) working Samba configurations. Windows users can get in and work with shares. My one problem is that the local user "joe" is not the same as the domain user that logs into Samba. And that means that users cannot access their own home directories, unless I relax the Linux permissions.
This is not surprising, given the way Samba was configured
