Synology NAS, Tinc docker and windows
Hi!
I tried these two Dockers on Synology nas:
https://github.com/JensErat/docker-tinc/
https://github.com/bys-control/docker-tinc
For testing i set up a master Windows machine and a client one with also
Windows.
Connection between of them Works.
So no i try to add a Synology NAS, so i can do remote backup.
But i cannot set up any connection between the Docker container and
master Windows

Have the dovecot settings the same on other servers and it works, Dovecot is v2.3.18, installed from Entware for QNAP. Any help appreciated.

The sad state of samba 4 adaption for home/small business routers.
...great. So i
was surprised to notice that 3 years after the 4.0 release i could not find
a single home/small business oriented router firmware that was supporting
samba 4.x? I delved deeper into this and after several weeks toying around
with the tomato/dd-wrt/openWRT/buildroot/openembedded/optware2/entware
toolchains and the samba 4.3 source + waf, i understand why.
Some problems i encountered, while trying to build a samba 4 package for any
of the most popular router firmwares.
1) Waf's cross-compile approach/requirements are simply not feasible,
clearly understandable for most package mainta...

Getting --delete to work, simply
rsync version 3.1.2 protocol version 31
I've run into an issue using rsync on my QNAP NAS. I've installed Entware-ng
on the NAS so that I can install better versions of programs, rsync being
one of them.
But, I've run into an issue wqith using the --delete option, as it has
problems using wildcards.
Initially a backup script looked like:
#!/bin/sh
for d in /share/Public/videos/[Gg]*
do
rsync -av --delet...

most likely because there is no serious market
if i want a NAS i buy a NAS
if i want a router i buy a router
both are bad things if it comes to cheap consumer crap and combine two
bad things makes it really a terrible frankenstein...

Tinc and OpenWRT
Greetings.
I'm new to tinc, but have so far managed to get a couple laptops and a
hosted server all connected. They're working as expected, running
Tinc 1.1-pre11, which I compiled from source.
Next I want to move on to adding my home router into the mix. My
routers run OpenWRT. I don't have experience compiling anything from
source for OpenWRT, but OpenWRT has Tinc 1.0.25
