Hi, I have two tables and I need to merge both. I use the merge command, but in this way the name must be exactly. How I can make to compare independently of upper or lower-case? problem with putting objects in list

Publication quality graphs

combine column names
...uot;AlfCor" or "AlfalfaCorn" automatically not manually. In excel, I found the function combining two texts in individual columns using (=A1&B1, if you want to combine texts in the two cells.). Calculating mean together with split

Read.table for macs
...csv files, read.delim, etc. None seem to work. Am I being really silly, and if so, how do you do it? Or is there an easier way to get data into the mac port? Or is the mac port entirely useless? Does AIC() applied to a nls() object use the correct number of estimated parameters?
...to a nls() object, AIC() doesn't include the estimate of residual error in the number of estimated parameters ... or is my understanding of nls() fitting confused. randomForest - what is a 'good' pseudo r-squared?
...could offer some guidance on what constitutes a good / very good / bad / very bad r-squared value for random forest it would be most appreciated and if there are any other accuracy measure that can be used with Random Forest in addition to the pseudo r^2 value? as this work will be presented to an entomology/ecology audience where machine learning is a bit outside their (and my) statistics comfort zone.
