AR load script only loading every other item?
Wow, this one is weird. I''ve got a file with data I want to import, one item per line. When I run this code, only the first, third, fifth, etc items get saved: require ''../app/models/entitlement'' #### Add entitlements f = File.open("../tmp/entitlements.csv") f.each do |line| id, code, description = line.chomp.split(''|'') entitlement = Entitlement.new entitlement.code = code entitlement.description = description entitlement.save end f.close W...

AJAX not displaying - due to action not complete?
Hi everyone, I''ve got a pair of AJAX actions that use slide_up and slide_down to toggle the editing of some info. You first see a table of entitlements for a user. Clicking "Change these" slides that up and then a full table comes down, displaying all possible entitlements for that user. Remove and Add links are next to the appropriate entitlements. When finished, clicking "I''m finished" slides the big table back u...

lost RHEL entitlements
Hello, I have some servers that have lost their RHEL update entitlements. Thinking through it, I realized we may not really need those entitlements. However, I would still like to automate keeping them up to date for security fixes. So, is there any way to swap out the Yum/up2date RHEL repositories for CentOS without breaking things? Thanks! -Eugene

Re: Vote For CentOS :) -- entitlements are to subscriptions, not products ...
...ally, service level agreements (SLAs). It's _not_ a product at all. Red Hat has been wanting to get away from a "product" every since they came out with Red Hat Linux 6.2 "E" Service Level Agreements. E.g., you _never_ pay for an "upgrade," if you have an active entitlement, you are entitled to whatever product, current or past, that is still actively supported. You could even subscribe while RHEL 4 is current today and install RHEL 2.1 and be supported until it is retired (in another year or so). At the same time, you will get RHEL 5 if you have entitlements when i...

Problems with samba and profile syncing from various windows versions
Thanks for pointing this out. I have read that again, now my profiles do not have "vfs objects = full_audit" and disabled the csc policy. I have verified that I have set up my profiles share properly and that it has all the right entitlements. I have reset the entitlements for the users that have issues (as Administrator right click on the folder and do the dance there with Windows). We'll see tomorrow. Is "profile acls" required anymore on Samba 4.3? What effect will it have on Windows 10? 2017-05-03 9:52 GMT+02:00 Ro...

scattered thoughts on connection sharing
I'm not entitled to a response, but I'm surely entitled to send a reminder, no? Or are you saying that even sending a reminder is itself a gross breach of etiquette? -----Original Message----- From: Damien Miller <djm at mindrot.org> Sent: Monday, July 22, 2024 6:57 PM To: Yagnatinsky, Mark : IT (NYK) <mark.yagnatinsky at barclays.com> Cc: openssh-unix-dev at mindrot.org

request: HOWTO for Samba4.latest AD PDC
I'm looking for an up-to-date howto on using Samba as an AD PDC. I've been using Samba since the days of yore, but have recently acquired the resources to take another stab at implementing an AD system using Samba. Perhaps it has escaped notice that the page with the link text "Official HOWTO" on samba.org points to https://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/

AJAX - how to have multiple select form sets implemented?
hi, there :) Consider a blogging application whereby a user is trying to add a new blog. He/she has to select a category. Upon selecting a category from a drop down box, a new sub categories drop down box will be created (hence an AJAX call). Got this implemented and it''s ok. Now, let''s assume that a given blog can have multiple categories (and subcategories). For example, a

Windows Remote Install
I saw a section entitled "PXELINUX and the Windows Remote Install Server", but there was nothing below it. I'm trying to figure out how to do this. Any advise would be appreciated. Do you suggest PXE, Etherboot, or Netboot? Could someone explain the difference? I still haven't figured out how all this fits together yet. Thanks.
