Resliver making the system unresponsive
...The hot spare kicked in, and access to the pool over NFS was effectively zero for about 45 minutes. Currently the pool is still reslivering, but for some reason I can access the file system now.
Resliver speed has been beaten to death I know, but is there a way to avoid this? For example, is more enterprisy hardware less susceptible to reslivers? This box is used for development VMs, but there is no way I would consider this for production with this kind of performance hit during a resliver.

JIRA anyone?
I''m trying to evaluate what use I can make of JIRA with Rails/Ruby and am

And, here is a complete changelog:
== Camping 1.5
* Camping::Apps stores an array of classes for all loaded apps.
* bin/camping can be given a directory. Like: camping examples/

Rails Deployment Book
I''ve been mulling over an idea for a book covering Ruby on Rails
application deployment. Obvious topics include using Mongrel by itself
and with Apache/Lighttpd, load balancers, memcached, and Capistrano.
What other topics would you like to see covered in such a book?
Cheers,
