Upgrade 6 to 7
...ll the case - there is no upgrade path from 6 to 7 ?
I have a few remote servers I'd like to upgrade (if possible).
Thanks,

It is supported, with some limitations, in rhel, so the same I think
applies to CentOS.

Upgrade 6 to 7
I found this site https://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/CentOSUpgradeTool
Is this still the case - there is no upgrade path from 6 to 7 ?
I have a few remote servers I'd like to upgrade (if possible).

Best way to shut down RH KVM/QEMU based VMs via NUT
Hey there,
Has anyone tackled the best way to shut down a VM running Win10 running in RedHat's (CentOS 7) KVM/QEMU VM manager?
I'm looking at this link to follow:
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/7/html/Virtualization_Deployment_and_Administration_Guide/sect-Managing_guest_virtual_machines_with_virsh-Shutting_down_rebooting_and_force_shutdown_of_a_guest_virtual_machine.html
but thought I'd ask the group if they found any other cool tricks or pitfalls...
Cheers,
-Ben

Cores hang when calling mcapply
Thomas,
I'm curious - what OS are you running this on, and how much memory does the computer have??
Let me know if that code worked out as I hoped.

Kickstart with multiple eth devices
I have a Dell server that has two built-in ethernet devices. When I
kickstart the machine, they are correctly identified as eth0 and eth1
(correctly meaning they correspond to the physical device ports 1 and 2). I
need a third one and want that to come up as eth2. After adding the
hardware, kickstart now fails because for some reason it goes through a
rename process where it makes the newly added

CentOS 7, systemd, NetworkMangler, oh, my
...feature work.
You really should have a read through this as well:
https://www.hogarthuk.com/?q=node/8
On EL6 yes NM should be removed on anything but a wifi system but on
EL7 unless you fall into a specific edge case as per the network docs:
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/7/html-single/Networking_Guide/index.html
you really should be using NM for a variety of reasons.
Incidentally Mark, this had nothing to do with systemd ... I wish you
would pick your topics a little more appropriately rather than
tempting the usual flames.
