I am using acts_as_ferret plugin. ITs working great on my local but when i put it on my textdrive server indexing is not proper. If I delete the indexes created, and search then the new set of indexes seem to work fine. But when I use ferret_create(I have do so for a new entery in my db), the whole indexing thing goes wrong. I get wrong results. Is this due to character encoding? Thanks

To cut a long story short I ended up running fsck and got lotsa inodes moved into lost+found and still some dodgy enteries in the directories. That filesystem was /home, I've also had problems on /usr and / aswell all with the same sort of symptoms - files appear to go missing and fsck finds lots of unconnected inodes and moves them away. I ran badblocks on the partitions affected and nothing turned up there, als...
