[Bridge] entery deleted in forward table and no longer added
Folks, = I tried to create a forward table on GW2348 (avila) board. Dummy network = interface is created to simulate sending traffics to kernel from virtual re= mote port with mac addresses every 5 seconds. It works perfectly in fedora = 5 that means "brctl showmacs br0" returns remote mac address on table all t= he time. = But in GW2348 board, remote mac entry only shows

Tinc VPN
Hi. I am trying to build a license free VPN for a product of mine. The VPN should have the following features: 1. VPN client should be able to pierce through corporate firewalls to replicate database enteries from client ( running windows xp ) to server (running enterprise linux) 2. VPN client if not able to connect directly to server due to network congestion should be able to route traffic using other VPN client nodes. 3. It should be from any kind of license free agreement as the solution would be...

SIP Calls Not Working
...g the settings below for sip.conf and extensions.conf and now we asterisk 1.8.29.0, so these phones have stopped communicating. My question is that does 1.8.29.0 release require any more changes to be done to the sip.conf and extensions.conf to make the below work ? The sip.conf contains following enteries ================================== [100] type=friend username=100 secret=100 host=dynamic port=5060 dtmfmode=rfc2833 fromdomain=dynamic nat=no canreinvite=false context=exten-100 [101] type=friend username=101 secret=101 host=dynamic port=5060 dtmfmode=rfc2833 fromdomain=dynamic nat=no canreinvite...

iptables question
Hi all, With SELinux in permissive mode and iptables running, I'm unable to retrieve directory listings with ftp. stop iptables, and all appears again. This seems to be unrelated to passive/port modes for ftp client. If this is off topic, please let me know offlist and I'll take my question elsewhere. Otherwise I'll repost with output of # iptables status TIA, ~Ray

wrong indexing when I use disable ferret and ferret update i
I am using acts_as_ferret plugin. ITs working great on my local but when i put it on my textdrive server indexing is not proper. If I delete the indexes created, and search then the new set of indexes seem to work fine. But when I use ferret_create(I have do so for a new entery in my db), the whole indexing thing goes wrong. I get wrong results. Is this due to character encoding? Thanks

Lots of files in lost+found ...
...at a Makefile didn't exist in a script directory. On investigation this directory appeared to be empty but when I tried to copy the missing files back in I got lots of I/O errors. To cut a long story short I ended up running fsck and got lotsa inodes moved into lost+found and still some dodgy enteries in the directories. That filesystem was /home, I've also had problems on /usr and / aswell all with the same sort of symptoms - files appear to go missing and fsck finds lots of unconnected inodes and moves them away. I ran badblocks on the partitions affected and nothing turned up there, als...

pid location from clamav on Centos 6.3
...rence the clamd.pid, only the .sock and warns you to point it to the same place as in /etc/clamd.conf. But what gives with the pid file locations? I might think that in a base install the pid file would be pointed to the same place? Obviously, I have figured out I really need to make these two enteries the same, but still. :(
