NIC naming conventions and vmware
I have a couple of CentOS 7 machines running in a vmware environment. On all the older ones I've deployed, the NIC is named ens160, but on all of the new ones, it is named ens192. I can't find any difference in the hardware that would account for this. Any suggestions on what I can do to figure out why some are named ens160 and some ens192? Thanks.

Problem with SPNEGO on full trust 2016 DC <> Samba 4.10.7 AD
I've read the documentation that domain trusts should be fully supported with both Kerberos and NTLM authentication. I've created a new 2016 domain on a Windows box and created a Samba domain on a Linux box with a BIND9_DLZ backend. Both servers can resolve both DNS domains forwards and backwards and I am able to connect a Windows 10 client to the Samba domain without any issues. The

Samab DC's not syncing
Hi, I am running a Windows Domain based on 2 Samba AD servers. The setup is running mostly fine but I have the impression that the 2 DC's are not syncing their information. For instance: - I added a Windows pc to the domain last week, when I started 'Active directory users and computers' today on a windows pc I could not see that pc, after rebooting one of the DC's the pc

bad udp cksum
...anything. I did the following on CentOS *tcpdump -vvv -nn udp -i esn160 port 514* In another session on the same server: *nc syslog-server -u 514* tcpdump started to show me messages like: *[bad udp cksum 0x3ce9 -> 0xb0f5!] SYSLOG, length: 172* After some research I disabled TCO (ethtool -K ens160 tx off rx off), now tcpdump shows: *[udp sum ok] [|syslog]* And I'm also receiving the logs. Yay! I have the same issue on multiple servers with CentOS versions 7.3.1611, 7.4.1708 & 7.5.1804. I'm having the issue no matter if it is a physical or virtual server (they also use different...

Having icecast SSL connection problem

The only anomaly with the set up was that when the VMWare instance of the site started it was running dhcp and I struggled to wrestle control away from it. And I was never able to get eth0 to work so I used same interface name that dhcp used 'ens160'. Any and all suggestions, recommendation, ideas, and solutions would be greatly appreciated.
