CentOS 6 VM image for paravirtualizaton on CentOS Xen server
I'm looking at a CentOS 5 Xen server that I'd really like to put some more recent VM's. There are reasons not to touch it at the moment, so I can't upgrade it in place today. Has anyone successfully installed a CentOS 6 VM, paravirtualized, on a CentOS 5 Xen server , without significant Xen upgrades? If so, can I get a copy from a reputable source, or one that I can review before

Timestamp issues
Hi folks, I got a fileserver with debian sarge which is being held up to date as good as I can. I got a machine with two harddrives. One holds kubuntu dapper and one holds winxp. And then there's more machines but they don't matter at the moment. On the filserver there's a share _images_ that has a force user/group _images_ constraint. Therefore when I save an image to that share

Problem in the path for executables...
Hi, I have a windows executable which I am trying to run in Linux using wine. When I execute the command : wine {ABSOLUTE_PATH}/file1.exe, file1.exe runs many other executables internally, like file2.exe, file3.exe and file4.exe. Now when file1.exe is trying to run the other executables, it is not able to get the path of the executables. I have the "PATH" enironment variable set

mp3 stream relay without reen-/transcoding (SLIMP3)
...Oddsock web sites I haven't really found a good way to solve it. I can't really accept that it would be an uncommon scenario - wanting to relay an mp3 stream without 'doing anything' to it but still having a bit of control over the serving. I've used Shoutcast in *nix and Win32 enironments for many years, but I'm new to the workings of Icecast and it's related tools. /Kristoffer --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' con...

Adding Gems and Plugins To A Shared Hosting Account?
Hi, I have a hosting account with godaddy.com and I guess after asking about RoR, it''s now installed on both the Deluxe and Premium shared plans. Now, it seems that I don''t have command line access (i.e ssh). Thus, I was wondering, how does one check to see what gems are installed and how can I add other gems? Is it possible to add gems and plugins to the local project and

DNS forwarding for guest domains on isolated network
Hi @all, I'm having trouble to realize my use case and hope somebody could help me. # Use case For a home lab I want to deploy several guest domains. These domains must not have a direct or NAT connection to the internet or my LAN. They should only be able to reach my LAN and the internet through a proxy. # What I've done I've created the following virtual switch in isolated

Introduce yourself and your project -- Round 2
On December 14th, 2004 David Heinemeier Hansson sent this to the mailing list: I''m seeing a lot of new names on the list. Could we perhaps do a round of introductions? That would also be a great first post, if you haven''t had a chance to contribute yet. The basics should include your name, your organization, your country and city, and the project you''re
