Weird differing results when using the Wilcoxon-test
...60 big1 = rnorm(size, 0, 1) big2 = rnorm(size, 0.5, 1 g1f = rep(1, size) g2f = rep(2, size) big = c(big1, big2) data_frame = data.frame(big, gr=as.factor(c(g1f, g2f))) wilcox_approx = wilcox.test(big1, big2) wilcox_exact = wilcox_test(big ~ gr, data=data_frame, distribution="exact") #---EndCode--- I found here http://www-stat.stanford.edu/~susan/courses/s141/hononpara.pdf that wilcox.test (at least for the signed rank test) relies on exact (p-)values until N = n1 + n2 = 50. I can reproduce this, when using e.g. size = 15. The p-values then are the same, as I would expect it, having re...

re endcoding syntatx ices2?
G'day, doing a spot of reencoding on my 64k ogg files, trying to create a stream for those poor sods who are still on dial up. The syntax below works - gives me a 28k stream. Seems like the bitrate has little effect on the reencoding. Anyone know all the commands I can use - still no documentation for this ver2 of ices and icecast hey? <p> <encode>

[PATCH 0/2] [clang-format] Add new configurations
From: Anastasiia Lukianenko <anastasiia_lukianenko at epam.com> We are trying to use the clang-format approach as a base for Xen [1] style formatting. During the state of testing clang-format with different configurations, we found that some points regarding the Xen coding style are not configurable. Therefore, we decided to add them to be able to make a choice in different cases. Regards,

Is this just anti-Ogg FUD?
I was recently talking to a friend of mine who produces what's widely referred to as "techno", music that's heavy on electronically generated loops and effects, samples, and has plenty of bass. He doesn't like ogg for a few reasons - he sent me a rather long email, and I've stripped out the nonsense from it (he has some technically irrelevant reasons for not liking

ios and android
Hi, My name is Andy, and I'm a software engineer. I was working these past few days making libogg and libvorbi compile for iOS and Android using Visual Studio's cross platform library solution. My goal was to make an encoder that could receive a buffer and send back the endcoded ogg. Today, I've stopped working on it because someone provided me a different solution to my problem. I did want to let you know though, and see if anyone is interested in working with me to merge in parts of my git repo into libogg and libvorbis or to at least compile them once and host...

Surely it would be possible to have something apply the ReplayGain to the WAV after decoding and prior to writing them to CD... but I don't know

Summary of changes: - Sparse clean. - Checkpatch clean with one exception, a "complex macro" in which we can't add parentheses. - Remove all runtime assertions. - Fix device name, so that existing user clients work. - Fix VMCI handle lookup. * *

Sieve broken after upgrade
Hi everyone, after switching to ubuntu (from debian) and running a newer dovecot --version 2.2.33.2 (d6601f4ec) i encountered a problem with configuring sieve. The mailserver has virtual maila accounts stored in /decrypted/%d/%n Prior, i used plugin { ? sieve = ~/.dovecot.sieve ? sieve_dir = ~/sieve ? sieve_before = /etc/dovecot/sieve/before.d } after the upgrade, I moved the sieve_before

[LLVMdev] Proposed implementation of N3333 hashing interfaces for LLVM (and possible libc++)
Thanks for the feedback thus far! I've updated the header file, and enclosed a complete patch against LLVM. This passes all the regtests, and I'll be doing more thorough testing of LLVM itself with the patch. I've included some basic unit tests, but could probably do more here... Not sure it's worth delaying the initial submission though, as the best testing is to use a hash

[LLVMdev] Proposed implementation of N3333 hashing interfaces for LLVM (and possible libc++)
Hello folks, TL;DR: This is my proposed hashing interface based on a proposed standard hashing interface. It also is implemented with a much faster and higher quality algorithm than the current one. This is an *early draft* of the code, looking for initial feedback. There has been recent interest in improving the quality and consistency of LLVM's approach to hashing. In particular, getting
