Called id for nil, which would mistakenly be 4 -- if you really wanted the id of nil, use object_id
Hi
I am a newbie to Ruby on Rails, but experienced in programming.
I am trying out Rolling with Ruby on Rails article by Curt Hibbs on
onlamp.com. I have encountered following error:
Called id for nil, which would mistakenly be 4 -- if you really wanted
the id of nil, use object_id
I searched the archives of the list and found that similar
question was left unanswered. I do understand from

These benchmarks are not distributed with llvm (which doesn't have the

File upload doesn''t work in production mode
Can anyone understand what the production.log file is telling me. I''ve
tried playing with the permissions for the folders and it makes no
difference. Every time I submit the form to upload the file I get
"Application error (Rails)" which doesn''t really help.

Rails 3 test database issues
I am having a problem using the test database in Rails 3. It
apparently has kept track of aspects of the database that I deleted

''down'' part of a migration and sometimes just recreate the whole
database. I did rake db:migrate:reset and rake db:test:prepare, but
when I run my test it is trying to access
