index problems after update
...5:37 hostname dovecot[14882]: imap(myuser): Fatal: master: service(imap): child 14135 killed with signal 6 (core dumped) So imap is crashing and even dumping a core. Also I must disagree with your mbox+procmail statement. mbox has always been very unoptimised mailbox format and everyone should be emphasised not to use it. Also that combination has always had problems with indexing and file locking. I would not use it on high volume mailservers. Or even medium volume mailservers. Sami

About mismatching calling conventions
...ted by the function is not set on the call, and I need to manually call ``setCallingConv``. Now, from LangRef#calling-conventions, The calling convention of any pair of dynamic caller/callee must match, or the behavior of the program is undefined. So the behavior is correctly defined, as emphasised by the check in ``InstCombineCalls`` that turns mismatching convention into an ``undef``. This is however very error-prone. Maybe we should either: - update the API to enforce the CC when building a ``CallInst`` - update LangRef to state that mismatching CC in static call is an error (note tha...

biplot breakdown help
Hi, I am trying to understand how the biplot.prcomp is constructed so I can manipulate it to emphasise particular observations and reduce the number of variables shown. The prcomp model I have ran has cor=TRUE and scale=TRUE I have worked out from looking at str(prcomp.model) that... prcomp.model$x = the observations ploted in the biplot prcomp.model$rotation = the variables that form the

imaptest: performance testing
Dear Folks, Using head of imaptest with dovecot 2.1, I am attempting to put a heavy load on the server, with insufficient success. I made 15000 user accounts, put them in to a file, one per line. Then I ran imaptest with ./imaptest userfile=../../imap-test-userlist-15001.txt clients=15001 pass=SECRETPASSWORD But CPU load is only reaching 20. I put an mbox containing 67 messages into

Trouble when suppressing a portion of fast-math-transformations

[LLVMdev] Discussion of eliminating the void type

I'm not going to argue at length about it, but it is worth thinking about. The only practical downsides of void are when newcomers take C's syntax for functions with no arguments a little

Samba 3.2.7 and XP authentication error
List, Long and confusing message follows... I'm facing a frustrating problem. XP clients can use resoures on the samba server by IP-address, but not by name. So, "net view \\servername" gives "access denied" but "net view \\ipaddress" gives list of shared resources. Samba server (3.2.7 sernet rpm) is a member server in W2003 domain. I emphasise that with

[LLVMdev] Discussion of eliminating the void type
Hello all, I am willing to do "eliminating the void type" project. Is there anyone working on it? === Overview === The general concept is to replaced void with {}. And 'ret void' is a synonym of 'ret {} {}.' === Further Implementation Details === 1. Deleting VoidTyID 2. Deleting LLVMVoidTypeKind (one-to-one relation between VoidTyID and LLVMVoidTypeKind) 3. Use

Automatic differentiation in R
Hi I recently gave a presentation about Automatic Differentiation (AD) and R at the Eighth Euro AD Workshop in Oxford (17/07/09). The presentation was intended as a general introduction to R and the desire for a generic AD interface for R. During the presentation I emphasised the need and the high level of interest that the R community has in developing such an interface and that input from the AD community is essential to achieve it. The presentation seemed to generate a good level of interest and several suggestions for potential directions were made. However, it is...

Make nmbd bind to interfaces only
Hi, I would like to have nmbd only bind to the interfaces specified in the interfaces line of smb.conf, in the same way that smbd does. When researching this I did come across a mailing list thread saying there was no use case, but I think I have one. For many years ClearOS has been providing NT4 style domains and unix-style shares. M$ upset the applecart last year with their 1803 update

As a beginner, I found the following additional points difficult: 1) It is not emphasised enough that the paths must be hard-coded full paths. But why? This makes portability of one's project impossible. 2) None of it even begins to work in practice, unless you happen to have the same old version of autoconf. Libor

Voice "broken" during calls
...the calls done using my mobile > phone in VoIP with the Asterisk have better quality as the calls done > using the normal VoIP-telefon... You are *assuming* that it's the codec causing the difference. We don't know that. Let me get this clear, to make sure I understand (differences emphasised): 1. You use *a VoIP softphone app* on your mobile, which is registered by SIP, to your Asterisk server, over your home *wireless network*, to place a call to some external number, you have a conversation and *the quality is excellent*. 2. You use your *Thomson ST2022*, which is also registered...
