stats tests on large tables
I have a large table of data which i can read in using read.table.
I then want to conduct various tests on the data.
Is there a simple way to conduct these tests by specifying the column headers which relate to different conditions of the experiment?
e.g. data1 <- read.table("test.table", header=TRUE)
t.test(test~control, data = data1)
Which doesn't work and results in the

Question about htb class
Hi everyone.
I''m new to this list and I have some questions
regarding HTB class.
I was trying to see how tc sets the parameters for
HTB, but really couldnt understand them.
So, I thought that I might ask the wizards.
It''s mainly from the source code.
1. What is the cell_log ?
(its everywhere in the code)
2. Why does htb calculate its burst(buffer) with
tc_xmit_time() ? Is

Digital speech within 100 Hz bandwidth
HA! Just when I was getting ready to drop myself from this list, along
comes a ham radio question!
Shoving digital voice down a 100 Hz pipe would be mighty darned
tough/impossible. N0YMV has a good suggestion. Try those WSJT modes. They
use narrow bandwidth and are fun to play with. There are documented
instances where moon-bounce QSOs have been completed with these modes. No,
it's

datoscont10<-selectByDate(dato$actualizado, start="01/03/2014",
end="09/09/2014")

Network Name Cannot Be Found Error
Hi there,
I have been pulling out my hair for the past ten days and nights messing with samba which is quite new to me. I really wish someone out there can give me a hand so that i can get some sleep. Thank you.
I have got the Samba Server installed correctly using the Red Hat Lnux 6.1 software package. All configuration required on the Windows 2000 side had been configured

VGA passthrough nVidia NVS 295
...ometimes I can log on and then domU
crashes with a BSoD (nvlddmkm.sys). Sometimes I can log on and actually
do something. But certain operations, like changing display options or
checking device manager details cause a BSoD.
The NVS 295 is based on a G98, which isn''t to dissimilar from Eming''s
GeForce 8400GS. He only states he used 2.6.30-rc3 with some upstream
patches, but not more.
Has anyone succeeded in passing thru an nVidia graphics card to a
Windows 7 x64 guest?
Should I try Windows XP, would that make a difference?
regards,
Helmut

Eduardo,
Me parece que el problema es el locale para TIME y la interpretación de %p,
para no tener ese problema lo que tengo que hacer en mi caso es cambiar

Digital speech within 100 Hz bandwidth
Dear Sir,
Could you please forward this e-mail to your engineering department. I am a
ham radio person who wants to transmit from the Earth to the moon and back
to the Earth by phone not by Morris code. This will be a very weak signal. I
need an extra 13.8 dB of gain. Could you please help me distribute the
attached paper to someone who could take this project into the next level?
Please reply

automatic callback when busy
I'm trying to set up the following application:
When a SIP extensions calls another one which is busy, the caller would be
able to ask for an automatic callback: when the callee becomes available
again, asterisk would ring both the caller's and the callee's phones and
connect them when both parties answer.
Has anybody done this before? (I tried to search the archs but couldn't

wine-1.1.29 crash on civ IV
Hi,
I'm running into errors trying to launch Civilization IV (both basic
and BtS). I followed the instructions from the thread below:
http://osdir.com/ml/wine-users/2009-08/msg00427.html
...and changed OffscreenRenderingMode to "backbuffer". This solves the
problem described there but runs into another. Setting it to "pbuffer"
gives the same result:

[PATCH server] Updated look and feel for empty grid views
When empty grids are shown (ex: no VMs in this pool) a specific graphic, message and improved action button are shown. For Task views, the user will see the current filter and an explanation that no tasks match that filter.

smb.conf syntax
Greetings,
When a new file is created it's permissions need to be RWX for all
users, as this a lock file is created, edited and deleted after each
session... First User on App Creates the File, all users are editing,
and the last one off deletes... (Paradox Database)
Is this config correct for this scenario?
