[LLVMdev] some llvm/clang missed optimizations
A few random observations: 1. Clang could do better with large but boring switches like this: http://embed.cs.utah.edu/embarrassing/jan_10/harvest/source/E8/E88C5111.shtml Performance of clang's output will be fine but this is a major code size lose. 2. Destruction of stupid loops is incomplete, sometimes due to phase ordering problems:

Possible bug? Can't remove and then put back a file?
This happens to Puppet 2.7.1 (both master and client). I have a file resource that I set to ensure => absent, Puppet removed it correctly with info line that it has a duplicate entry in the filebucket. I then changed the ensure => present, the agent run gave me following error: /usr/bin/puppet:19 err: /Stage[main]/Emb/File[/opt/jetty-distribution-7.4.2.v20110526.tar.gz]/ensure: change from

embed?
I have a question on the function 'embed'. I ran the example x <- 1:10 embed(x, dimension=3) This gives the output: [,1] [,2] [,3] [1,] 3 2 1 [2,] 4 3 2 [3,] 5 4 3 [4,] 6 5 4 [5,] 7 6 5 [6,] 8 7 6 [7,] 9 8 7 [8,] 10 9 8 I don't quite understand the output and why it is useful. First, there are only 8

[PATCH] v2v: fix build rules for output_rhv_upload_*_source.ml files
Use the $(srcdir) variable where needed, to make sure it builds also with srcdir != builddir. Furthermore, make sure that the OCaml dependencies calculation depend on the generated output_rhv_upload_*_source.ml files, otherwise there will be incomplete OCaml rules for them in the generated .depend. Fixes commit cc04573927cca97de60d544d37467e67c25867a7. --- v2v/Makefile.am | 14 +++++++------- 1

Embedding LLD version to executables
I'd like to make LLD embed version information so that we can determine if an executable was created by LLD and if that's the case which version of LLD. ld.bfd doesn't seem to embed any information, so we cannot tell whether an executable was linked by ld.bfd or not easily. ld.gold embeds a string "GNU gold <version>" as ".note.gnu.gold-version" section contents. I'm wondering what we should do for LLD. The gold's way seems almost right, but I think we don't want to use the same section name because it contains "gold" as part of the s...

Hello, I have seen instructions on how to embed Latex Computer Modern fonts into R, but these are the default serif fonts. I am trying to embed the default font used for Latex beamer (theme Warsaw), which is a sans serif font and may be the default LateX Computer Modern sans serif font. Does anyone know the names of the font files? Thanks Heemun

Embed SQL queries in R?
Hi All, Most of the work I am doing with R uses data which I am pulling from various SQL queries. To streamline the process even more, I was wondering if it was possible to embed SQL queries in R - that way avoiding the need to first get the data, then move to R to process it. I haven't found anything out there on this yet, so if you know of a good resource that includes this topic, I would
