[BUG] boot failure since syslinux-3.00
Hi,
This AMD Elan board seems to be very problematic:

I'm having various issues with booting recent Linux kernels with syslinux.
syslinux-2.13 was the last version that worked and since syslinux-3.00
it doesn't work.
When it doesn't work all I get is "Boot failed" from the bootsect...

Using Linux as bootloader
...ux may be using pxe or otherwise and then I decide to boot Windows from or Linux from localdisk, then instead of rebooting th machine can I somehow execute the boot sector/grub/ntldr etc from within Linux? Is this at all possible? It seems something similar exists for ARM processor only (http://www.embeddedarm.com/software/arm-linux-bootloader.php).
