Dependency failures when updating
...otected the repositories in /etc/yum.repo.d, then reran:
yum update
...and I get the same missing dependencies errors. I don't know if I
have too many things going on at once with the unsupported kernel and
updating the whole base, but as of now I'm kind of stuck. Any thoughts?

Spamassassin/Sendmail issues
I am running a server with Centos 4.4, using a combo of
sendmail-clamav-spamassassin for mail, which has been working quite well
up until last night. Around 3:00am, all mail going to all users was
being rejected by spamassassin. My ~/mail/.procmailrc is as follows:
========================
MAILDIR=$HOME/mail
#
:0 H
* ^X-Spam-Status:.*Yes
{
EXITCODE=67
:0:
/dev/null

Remote upload apache files
Hi all,
I need to upload files to /var/www/html on our remote centos box. The
perms on /var/www/html are stock from the install, (drwxr-xr-x
root.root). I set the box for ftp, but (obviously) normal users can't
write to that directory. I don't want to allow root ftp logins (I've
also disabled root ssh logins, so scp doesn't work either), and I don't
know how secure it is

4.4 update quits unexpectedly
After 2 good updates to 4.4, my 3rd is giving me trouble. I did all 3
installs the same:
yum clean all
yum update python-sqlite sqlite yum
yum clean all
yum upgrade
This one, however, quits during the header download. I get "[Errno -1]
Header not complete, trying another mirror", then "[Errno 256] No more
mirrors to try".
I am not going thru a proxy, and I can't find

I have a centos box using kernel 2.6.9-42.0.2.ELsmp that had a samba
server running very nicely until 2 days ago. Out of the blue, users can't
access any shares. We have 5 users and 6 shares, one of which is an MS
access database that gets the most use. I thought the smbpasswd database
may be corrupt so I replaced it with a backup, but no go. I deleted the
