Find and remove elemnts of a data frame
Dear all,
I have a data frame that is created like that
data.frame(x=CRX[-1],y=CRY[-1],z=CRagent1$sr)
the output looks like
45 116 162 -30.89105988567164
46 128 79 -42.66296679571184
47 180 195 -30.45626175641315
48 114 83 -45.26843476475688
49 118 73 -46.85389245327003
How can I select only the rows that their third column is higher that -45?
This will return the following
116 162

Counting various elemnts in a vactor
Dear R forum
I have a vector say as given below
df = c("F", "C", "F", "B", "D", "A", "D", "D", "A", "F", "D", "F", "B", "C")
I need to find
(1) how many times each element occurs? e.g. in above vector F occurs 4 times, C occurs 2 times etc.

combinations with replications
Dear all,
Is there a way to compute and list all combinations with replication of two
elements in sets of 8 elemnts?
For example, I've two elements, 0 and 1, and I would to get all possible
combinations with replication such as, for example, 00000000, 00000001,
00000010, and so on. They are 2^8 and it's very hard to list handly!!
Thank you

[PATCH] v2v: ovf: add firmware and machine type element
Add oVirt specific elemnt to OVF. It represents the combination of
machine type (i440fx/q35) and firmware (BIOS/UEFI).

Hi,
I understand the idea behind compare_numeric() is to compare strings containing digits in a special way: Do a normal string-compare up to the point where both string elemnts are numerical. Find then an outcome based on the number of consecutive digits in the strings while disregarding the value of the digits, eg a12b < a123.
I guess then this order should hold: a12 == a22 < a1b, for these strings.
Looking at StringRef::compare_numeric(StringRef RHS), the probl...

Other than adding a new element in the OVF, this also enables the
conversion of UEFI guests to oVirt. It is tested? Does it require other
changes?
I'd split the addition of <BiosType> to th...

Aling elmentos into Windows with TK
Hello!!
I would like create a window that has diferent element as:
http://bioinf.wehi.edu.au/~wettenhall/RTclTkExamples/checkboxes.html
http://bioinf.wehi.edu.au/~wettenhall/RTclTkExamples/radiobuttons.html
I know as make it, but I don?t know as I could (align the diferent elemnts
to left, right, top, bottom) or (put in a coordinates into windows).
If anybody know as I could make it, I would like you say me.
Thank you very much, Luismi
A greetings

Thanks for tracking this down.
I believe we have a bug in compare_numeric() causing it to be non-transitive sometimes. It is supposed to provide a total ordering of strings. Can you find the bug?

[LLVMdev] Tablegen: RegisterInfoEmitter.cpp
Hi,
I just bumped into a bug in this code. The problem was as follows:
I have defined a set of registers with rather similar names including digits.
The code section at
RegisterInfoEmitter::run(){
...
// Process sub-register sets.
runs and fills the RegisterAliases map.
then,
...
for (unsigned i = 0, e = Regs.size(); i != e; ++i) {
RegNo[Regs[i].TheDef] = i;

For each entry type in column?
Hello,
If you want to loop through the columns of a data.frame you can do
for(i in names(df)){
[code]
}
Another way would be
lapply(names(df), function(somecol) class(dfsomecol))
where class(dfsomecol) is just an example, you would use whatever
fits your needs.
When you say that the column in question holds "levels" do you mean it's
a factor? (factors are R's

Partition of a set
Hi
I am new on this forum. I am searching for a function in R which provides
all partitions of a set, say for the set
{1,2,3}
you get

{1,{2,3}}
{2,{1,3}}
{3,{1,2}}
{{1},{2},{3}}
. The number of partitions of a set is given by Bellsche`s number. The
number of possibilities of length (this is the number of subsets included in
the partition) of the partition is given by the partition

Best Practices question regarding views & controllers
Hi List!
Im reading the Agile book, as many online articles as I can, but
theres still some things that are just too hard to answer for yourself.
In building my application, I often find myself putting code into my
views of which I am not quite certain it belongs there.
Where do you usually draw the line? Is it okay to, say, loop through an
array of hashes that represents

in continuation with the earlier R puzzle
When I just run a for loop it works. But if I am going to run a for loop
every time for large vectors I might as well use C or any other language.
The reason R is powerful is becasue it can handle large vectors without each
element being manipulated? Please let me know where I am wrong.

For each entry type in column?
It?s sometimes faster to ask from someone who has already learnt the syntax.
In this case one has to do e.g.
names(data$somecol)
To get the collection and then iteration through it is almost like in Python:
for(i in names(data$somecol)) {
# do something
}
