Upstream 6.2
As much as I hate to be the bearer of news, I saw over 400 updates this morning on my upstream 6.1 box.... checking the upstream website, yeah, EL6.2 is out, at least for updates. I didn't see ISO's in my subscribed channel yet, though.
I figured someone would notice soon enough.
So before anyone goes into flame mode, think about the difficulties that have faced the CentOS developers in

xfs, inode64, and NFS
we recently deployed some large XFS file systems with centos 6.2 used as

I've had some reports of a problem similar to the one reported here...

centos6.2, parted and alignment
I have a large raid (lsi megaraid sas2 9261-8i card) and when I use
parted to initialize it as the one big partition I want, it gives me a
warning.
# parted /dev/sda "mklabel gpt"
Warning: The existing disk label on /dev/sda will be destroyed and
all data on this
disk will be lost. Do you want to continue?
Yes/No? yes
# parted -a optimal /dev/sda

tftp in 6.2
Seems to only write the first block, or with some clients only a zero length file.
Perms are obviously not an issue if at least one block can be written?
Anyone know what might give?
Thanks,

I've just migrated my mail system from procmail to managesieve/sieve and
I'm having trouble trying to duplicate a could of rules I used to use in
my procmail config.
One particular rule would be this:

Not Quite Minimal CentOS 6.2
Hi All,
I a working on configuring a not-quite minimal installation of CentOS 6.2. I
tried doing the "minimal" installation available with the installer, but it's
a bit too minimal to be useful. So I'm cutting down from a less minimal
starting place. I'm pretty familiar with 5.x, but what I'm finding in 6.2 is a
lot of new stuff, and a lot of odd behavior. For example,

Re: Can't create any KVM template due to the error with libguestfs
Hi,
Two doubts.
1. What I've to replace in "NEEDED"? or I need to just run the whole
command you given
2. You mean this one,
rpm -qa | grep libguestfs*
