HSM devices and FreeBSD
I am essentially asking the same question that Eirik Overby asked a
couple of years ago. Is anyone aware of PCI-X/PCIe hardware security
modules that are supported on FreeBSD? I have not seen any on the
FreeBSD hardware compatibility lists. Again, as Eirik noted in his
question, HSMs are not simply crypto accelerators (which are supported

UFS snapshot weirdness
...after those additional files were
placed in the snapshot.
I am at a total loss here. Is it re-using the first snapshot I ever
made of this filesystem, even though I've removed it? Didn't I
understand how to create/remove snapshots? Is this a bug?
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks,

Change the background of a conversation
Hello!
I am wondering if there is possible to add a sound in the background
in a conversation, for instance i want to sound like I'm in the
office, or stuck in traffic, or something like that.

Environment variables in pgsql connect string
...DB_DBNAME}

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to connect to a database
without hardcoding the connection parameters in the Dovecot config,
which does not involve patching driver-pgsql.c to make the variable
expansion?

Dovecot director: show user breakdown by director?
...is due to there
being no local userdb/passdb on the directors?
root at xxx:/etc/dovecot/conf.d# doveadm who

Is there a way in Dovecot to see which (or even how many) users are
connected to a specific director without having to count TCP connections?

Upgrade 2.2.27 to 2.3.9.2: master(imap): net_connect_unix(imap) failed: Resource temporarily unavailable
...This whole upgrade is part of a migration to a director-backed system,
because we are seeing a too large amount of corruption errors
(locking/indexes, etc) assumed to be caused by NFS.
Once we introduce the director cluster in front, these errors should
hopefully be strongly reduced. :-)

Manual Printer Driver Installations
Hey,
I posted a few days ago about how the printer paper sizes are differ from
the admin account
when they are installed. People at my work are getting pissed at the moment
and all they want to do
is to be able to change the paper sizes themselves and not have it done at
the server
Is there a way to do it?
I fluked it at one stage and had it working like that, I think I deleted the

2.2.6 and printer questions
Hi @all,
I have 2 questions about printer driver installation on w2k-client for a samba served printer:
1.
If I want to install a driver on w2k workstation, I choose network printer and then can browse the network. If printers are served from a Nt/w2k-server, in my opinion it is not nessesary to double click the netbios name of the Nt/w2k-server to see the shared printers. In this case under

Does anyone have any experience, or tips for setting up this type of
behavior?
Other ideas we have touched upon are:
1. Different usernames (eg. 'user_device' or 'user_application')
2. Multiple passdbs(?)

The `ss -tp` output appears normal (e.g. 8009+536 ~= 8739).

Uh. It's not actually supported to access same user concurrently from two servers even if you are using NFS. It will cause problems. You should use dovecot director or some other arrangement to make sure this does not happen.

Is this an actual problem? Most client connections are idle, so I doubt if the occasional drop is noticed at all.
Also, why a limit of 16? Have you tried, oh, 160 instead?
