compiling C code using headers from another R package
I am developing an R package, eiR, which depends on another C library,
GNU scientific library (GSL). In order to make life easier for the user,
it would be nice to not have this as an external dependency, thus I
would like to wrap this library in another R package, say GSLR for
example. Thus far I know how to do this. The C code in eiR requires the
.so library and the header files from GSL

mongrel - monit issue
Hi,
was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem and knows why or a solution.
basically my mongrels seems to work fine. i am running three clusters all which are monitored by monit. monit has the ability to restart a mongrel if it doesn''t pass a port connection test. so the problem is that after some time. aprox. 6hrs. to 20hrs. after clusters are started, the mongrels get

VM notification to multiple email recipients
Hi all,
I've got a user who wants to receive voicemail notifications at two
different email addresses. I could probably setup an alias in
/etc/aliases, but then I'd have to manage that across multiple servers,
which I don't want to do.
Is there a way I can tell Asterisk to send to multiple addresses?

Dell PE600SC with ServerWorks CSB6
Hello!
Has anyone gotten 4.9R to recognize the "ServerWorks CSB6" ATA
controller on a Dell 600SC? How about installing 5.2R on a 600SC? 5.2R
recognizes the said controller, but it corrupts data.

I have Asterisk 1.0.5-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC5 up and running. Everything
seems to be running fine but after some time asterisk just goes crazy
(even withouth any incoming or outgoing call activity perviously).
If I leave the box up for some time * goes haywire and the console is
flooded with this message:

At that time I can see that there

Connecting Asterisk to GSM
Hi List,
I was wondering if there was any device I could use to connect * to GSM
networks. I don't need much capacity, maybe 2-4 GSM channels. As usual,
cheap is better :-)
Any tips on this?
Cheers,
Jean-Michel.

After my installation i noticed that the channel H323 was not included ( I remember that i did not have to install it under freeBSD) but I have seen that SIP and IAX are supported though. So i am wondering:
Does asterisk consider H323 so achaic that it does
