How to find eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of a fourth order ODE

Note here the lambda parameter is changing, so essentially we have a series of ODEs. lambda is called an eigenvalue, the solution y is called an eigenfunction associated with lambda. The question is to find the eigenvalues lambda and eigenfunctions y. In matlab, this can be done. I am wondering if R has similar functions to achieve this goal. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated. Using PCNM() in Vegan and calculating Moran's I
...need to use option of row weights (I am using CCA following the selection of the significant/positive PCNM variables). In the library PCNM (PCNM function), the Moran's I is calculated for you as part of the function. I see that I need to calculate Moran's I separately in order to retain the eigenfunctions with positive spatial correlation but could use help in doing so...I have looked up Moran's I in a couple different packages but am not sure what to use... gam function in the mgcv library
I would like to fit a logistic regression using a smothing spline, where the spline is a piecewise cubic polynomial. Is the knots option used to define the subintervals for each piece of the cubic spline? If yes and there are k knots, then why does the coefficients field in the returned object from gam only list k coefficients? Shouldn't there be 4k -4 coefficients? Sincerely, Bill

In the future could you please do some sort of visualization of your data, or at least provide the raw data in a machine-readable format so that others can do so? It is incredibly easy to come to incorrect conclusions when looking at lists of numbers because at any given moment you have a very localized view of the dataset and are prone to locally pattern-match and form a selection bias that
