I am being picky about names because liboffload is a library available as
part of omp (llvm's openmp runtime library) that, I believe, only targets
Intel Xeon Phi.
Did you mean liboffload or libomptarget?
Thanks

[Openmp-dev] [cfe-dev] RFC: Proposing an LLVM subproject for parallelism runtime and support libraries
I've put together a proposed "charter" for this new project, which I am
calling parallel_utils (although I'm very open to suggestions for a better
name). The text of my charter is below, and I welcome any input on how it
can be improved.

[LLVMdev] [RFC] OpenMP offload infrastructure
Hello everybody!
I would like to present a proposal for implementation of OpenMP
offloading in LLVM. It was created by a list of authors and covers the
runtime part at most and at a very high level. I believe it will be
good to have input from community at this early stage before moving
deeper in details.
The driver part is intentionally not touched, since we have no clear
vision on how one can

in future specs, both codegeneration and libtarget.so implementation would
have to be made consistent.

[LLVMdev] [Openmp-dev] [RFC] OpenMP offload infrastructure (iteration 2)
Hi Sergey,
Thanks for putting the new version of the document together! I don't see
any other issues. I strongly believe the approach described in the document
is a nice way to get OpenMP offloading support in clang. I plan to start
actively contributing code for this component of the OpenMP implementation
soon.
Thanks again,
Samuel

Hello everybody!
To continue the original

discussion of offload infrastructure I have an updated document with
more details for your attention.
The document is a consensus of the contributors representing a number
of institutions: ANL, AMD,
IBM, Intel and Texas Instruments.
Our intent is to have a discussion and an approval from

[Openmp-dev] [cfe-dev] RFC: Proposing an LLVM subproject for parallelism runtime and support libraries
I did a more thorough read through liboffload and wrote up a more detailed
doc describing how StreamExecutor platforms relate to libomptarget RTL
interfaces. The doc also describes why the lack of support for streams in
libomptarget makes it impossible to implement some of the most important
StreamExecutor platforms in terms of libomptarget (
