Problem with lme using glht for multiple comparisons
...al plants have been treated in a particular way and a continuous response variable has been measured depending on several leaves per plant. I am now interested in the effect of the treatment depending on the age of the leaves examined. So the dataset (L1) consists of a continuous response variable (EFN), a fixed factor (Leafage), and a random factor (Plant).
I have set up the following mixed effects model, which works fine:
> > LM<-lme(EFN~Leafage,L1,~1|Plant)

Now all I want to do is a post-hoc analysis (multiple comparisons) for the fixed factor EFN. I tried the following co...

Questions on converting to ConfBridge
I'm looking at what would be involved in converting from MeetMe to
ConfBridge and there seems to be a lot of missing administrative things,
but I hope I'm just missing it. We all know about the missing realtime
linkage. That's a major nuisance, but can be worked around.

Statistical Quality Control
Greetings,
I've been familiarizing myself with the features of R over the past few
days. I'm impressed with the quality and quantity of the features and
packages. One feature that I would be interested in would be a package for

exist that I've been unable to locate?
If not, is anyone aware of efforts to

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list.
I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without
modifications.
How did I try it?
Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock )
Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a
rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee
prep-out.log
The build failed at the end:

trying to set an internal ivr
Hello:
I'm trying to implement an IVR for internal use for the
enterprise I work for, but the goal I'm trying to reach is that the
main menu of this IVR present itself to the user after 5 seconds he picks
up his extension (and only if the user doesn't press any key, off course).
I imagine the solution (if exists) maybe relies in timeout properties,
but I can't see it. Any

Partitioning for ext3fs
I have an existing hard drive that I would like to partition for ext3fs then utilize for
backing up data files from a new machine.
My problem is that this HDD has a full version of FC4, and if I have it switched on when
connected by external USB when booting the new system, it will hang the process.
New equipment is SATA with recent version of FC5; No problem when running by itself. I
