...indows clients to
stay in sync then you must manually do it with a scheduled task that will
issue the correct 'net time' command. Or you can install a NTP client for
Windows.

ZFS disables nfs/server on a host
I have an Ultra 10 client running Sol10 U3 that has a zfs pool set up on the extra space of the internal ide disk. There''s just the one fs and it is shared with the sharenfs property. When this system reboots nfs/server ends up getting disabled and this is the error from the SMF logs:

Kerberos-4 client configuration
Hi all,
I want to configure Kerberos as the authenticating service for Secure
Shell.I am using a Linux machine as the KDC.
I have successfully configured the server (Linux machine) as KDC.
My client machine is HP-UX Version 11.11.
Now when i initialize the client for kerberos by running "kinit" in the
HP-UX machine(client), it displays
"kinit: Time is out of bounds

How 'accurate' is time sync on the samba server?
Just as the subject states, how close and accurate can time synchronization
be with Samba as a PDC and Windows Clients connecting to the PDC with net time?
I have setup a logon script, so when all Win2k clients connect to the PDC,
they will receive the logon script and use the PDC as their time server.
What I have noticed in my testing is that it is not entirely 100% accurate?
For example, I

System Time Source
One of our STEM interns recently observed that there are
inexpensive clocks that sync via radio to standard time
services.? This begged a question about why every computer
would not have a radio module to receive time.? Our senior
staff did not have a good answer or if time from such a
radio module would be supported by the operating system.
When I was a student, such questions would have earned

ntpd under Xen Dom0 exhibits extremely high jitter/noise? runs stable/quiet under non-xen kernel.
On a selection of boxes, ntpd running in Xen Dom0 reproducibly
exhibits extermely high noise/jitter.
Switching back to -default, non-xen kernel ntpd runs with very low jitter/noise.
Question -- how can I ''tame'' ntpd noise & jitter when running in Dom0?
Is the problem a config issue, or a bug?
Already reported this downstream; everybody''s "stumped".

A couple of issues
I''ve been testing ZFS since it came out on b27 and this week I BFUed to b30. I''ve seen two problems, one I''ll call minor and the other major. The hardware is a Dell PowerEdge 2600 with 2 3.2GHz Xeons, 2GB memory and a perc3 controller. I have created a filesystem for over 1000 users on it and take hourly snapshots, which destroy the one from 24 hours ago, except the
