unable to open passdb database.
I found many questions but no answers on the web.
I described my needs in earlier post, but now switched from security =
domain to security = server, and designated the AD domain server as the
password server.
It works as desired, i.e. I don't need smbpasswd any more, and if windows
users change their passwords by ctrl-alt-del, they can later use the new
password without coming to admins.

question about ADS sync
Hi,
I have a question about Samba's capability. I couldn't find answer from
web searches so want to try it here.
We use samba as file server in a mixed mode w2k active directory domain.
The problem is that each time a user changes his/her windows password,
admins have to update samba password manually. We want to avoid this, and
want Samba to automatically sync the user password with
