Ctrl-W killing entire line, not just last word
On the Asterisk CLI, I notice that pressing Ctrl-W deletes the entire
line of text, as opposed to just the last word. Is this an artifact of
using editline instead of readline? I'll note that other Emacs-style
keypresses work just fine on the Asterisk CLI, but Ctrl-W is a real
pain. I would go so far as to call this a bug as it is certainly
behaviour that differs from what the user expects.
Here are my system details:

To start try using gmake. It's there, just add it to your PATH.

issues with Asterisk CLI
Hello,
I have Asterisk 16.2 on Debian.
In the Asterisk CLI, I would like to change 2 things:
1) change the keybindings for commandline editing
(what in bash is called "readline" editing of the command line)
The CLI is missing some very useful keybindings, and even worse, has
misconfigured others, For instance, "ctrl"+"w" should delete the last
word backward. But

CLI prompt function/library
...ting on keywords is the priority. Probably
best as some sort of callback function
3) History.
4) Input. As a result of all of this, it would probably be best if it
utilized raw input mode (console_ansi_raw()) and get_key().
Here's what I've found so far that doesn't seem appropriate:
editline of libedit: Depends on libncurses which probably means it'll
be large or require adaptation
readline: Probably a good direction but at the moment, far more than I want.
getline: Looks to me like a GNU-specific implementation of fgets()
that can just dynamically realloc() the array if needed....

Speex support
What is the state of speex support in asterisk? I saw the codec seems to
be there.
Can speex be used on IAX2 links? Is there much work still to be done?

Compiling Asterisk On SUSE 9.2
...9.2.
The problem comes during some preliminary checks:
checking for ar... /usr/bin/ar
checking for tgetent in -ltermcap... no
checking for tgetent in -ltinfo... no
checking for tgetent in -lcurses... no
checking for tgetent in -lncurses... no
configure: error: termcap support not found
make: *** [editline/libedit.a] Error 1
Now I got the termcap rpm and afaik it's installed (now). Is there
anything obvious I should try?
Thanks in advance,
Aldo

-lssl
Hi
Having my first go at compiling Asterisk from cvs source.
Compiled and installed zaptel ok
Running make asterisk returns the following error message
/usr/bin/ld cannot find -lssl
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
The last part of the compile messages on screen are-
editline/libedit.a db1.ast/libdb1.a stdtime/libtime.a -ldl -lncurses -lm
-lresolv -lssl
There is obviously something I have not installed, but what ?
Have searched archives and thro package descriptions and come up with
nothing
Any help appreciated
