I'm hoping that there are some Gentoo users on this list who will chime in on a bug that is near and dear to my heart. ...issue and i didn't have time to fully investigate. Anyone have any ideas? The remedy was to downgrade in portage back to samba 3.4.6. Everything worked as before, no issues. From my initial investigation of the portage tree under gentoo it appears no customization has been applied to 3.5.2 ebuild that wasn't in the 3.4.6 ebuild.
